The first one amazon sent had likely been returned as defective. It simply wouldn’t fire nails. Returned, the second one is great!I try not to buy power tools from amazon, but the 2 day shipping was seductive. Sadly broken tools do not save time.Don’t buy expensive tools from amazon.Sad.Just don’t do it.

I like other hitachi/metabo tools but this gun is terrible. No air exhaust direction adjustment, terrible tool hook (way too big), nail reloading is terribly designed, very bulky, but worst is both guns broke at a trivial part sending other parts all over the jobsite making repair cost not worth it. They were still under warranty but not worth the hassle to get them replaced with the same junk tool/ parts.

We've been putting up the trim in all of our bedrooms, and I'm so glad I have this! I just pop-pop-pop, and the trim is up in no time flat. It works fantastic! I have a few more projects I'm working on around the house, and I know the jobs will go smoothly as long as I'm using this. it sure beats hammering and denting the trim by mistake! Easy to use too!

I have been a finish carpenter for 20 years. This is the best 16 ga. gun ever made. I have had several of these through the years. When Hitachi discontinued them around 2006, I called them in Japan and begged them to make this gun again. I don't know if I helped to bring it back but I'm glad it's being offered again. There is no gun like it made today.Passlode used to make a professional model like this one, but it was discontinued way back then too. This gun shoots 16 ga straight nails, suitable for doors and baseboard, crown, etc. Some like the heavier 15 ga nail for doors, but they cost a lot more. I think 16's are ok for most doors and all around trimwork. This is a heavy duty gun, the only real professional finish gun made anymore. The magazine is metal and it has room for 3 Rick's of nails. That makes a big difference when you're nailing lots of baseboard.

This gun would be nice on compacity, other than that, that's all is good at. You can't adjust the nail depth , the safety spring it located on the right side And is just able to fly out under the right conditions leading to the gun to be unusable. And the exhaust is not adjustable either , heavier then the NT65M2 model, and the nailer takes some force to make the safety depress. Not good for sensitive work. All together not worth it save your money and, metabo .. back to the drawling board on this one it sucks
Great blades and great price
