Smacks nails fast and hard runs well with standard nails. I ran 1-1/2" nails out of it. Does tend to hit hard, I had to back out the adjuster all the way on mine to get the setting right. These aren't cheap tools but they deliver on power and performance.Battery life is going to be less on these than the old version as the tool runs for about 5 seconds after pressing the foot down. But this does increase the performance of the tool as the flywheel stays at peak for longer. Much more consistent nail delivery than the old design. These are built to last. I treat mine like little babies, wipe them down kiss there booboos and tuck them in with a bedtime song but even if you beat them up they'll stand up to the punishment. Don't drop it off the roof onto cement but that's too much to expect from any tool. All of these flywheel tools are large and heavy. Be prepared for a bit of lugging, but no cords and no hoses is a benefit that a bit of extra weight is worth.

This was way better than I ever thought it would be. I will highly recommend this tool. I always used air and wanted to try one of these so I finally spent the money and was worth every penny!!!!!

Gun is great,I used Dewalt nails with copper band,so I wouldn't get misfires,as someone said the cheaper steel banded roofing nails get misfires. They cost more but I didn't want to deal with misfires. Did one shed roof 16 ft by 12 feet, worked great. FYI bought the plastic 3D printed wide belt loop from Amazon, halfway thru it pulled out the helicopter from plastic retainer on right side,my fault cause I dropped the gun and the extra width and length gave the clip more force,so helical pulled out of gun. Definitely my fault, but beware ,it's not that deep and it(helicoil) is small and thin,,,oopsActually it was a nut,not helicoil, and was on left side of gun,not rt side.Just beware, cause it's only in plastic case and has alot of leverage, cause it sticks out,but totally my fault, because I dropped it and even think I kneeled on it by accident, so it popped off.

Paid for itself first time out. Made me money every time after that.Don't use it for a whole roof.

Great buy. Shower must buy the specific nails for this cannot just use any roofing nails from the other brands. It has really speed up the work. The only flaw with it’s build is the nail gate does open and it is made from plastic.

Finally put this roofing nailer to work. Worked great for one package of shingles . After that will shoot one nail or two then you have to mess with it over and over . I got ripped off . Seems like it won’t advance the coil of nails to have a nail ready .This causes it to lock out .

Have done 2 roofs with this and sided my garage with the siding tip adapters, rented an air one for my helper and this didn’t jam near as much. I’m not a professional roofer just do side jobs and it goes quick enough for me. Siding with it was worth it alone as I sided my garage by myself. Made it quicker and a lot less painful

Did not honor warranty. Broke in 32 days so they didn't replace. Took half a year to get back from repairs. Was in worse condition. Sent it back, it's now March the following year and still don't have it back. Refused renewal of warranty or replacement.
