I just recently purchased a safe that these should work great for- I left one in a rifle bag for a few weeks as a test, and found that all the lubricant had dried up! The indicator barely changed color, so it's still ready to swipe more moisture from the air.

I used a couple of these reusable packs in my safe and have had them for over 3 months. I have yet to have to recharge them. I wasn't sure if the color changing area was working. I took one of the packs and put a drop of water on the blue area and it did indeed turn pink. I recently threw another in a hockey bag and have started to see the color change more quickly. I guess these are doing a good job in the safe. Appears to be a good value and inexpensive way to keep things dry in closed areas. Would recommend. We'll see about long term longevity.

I'm specifically using this in ammo cans for longer-term storage. While this is likely overkill in my own usage scenario, it is a nice comfort knowing that I can remove excess humidity and keep the cartridges nice and dry for a longer period before going to the range.The recharging feature is a plus as well.

I tossed these gel packets into closets packed with clothes. I like that they are small and can fit anywhere. The packets themselves indicate when it is time for a "recharge". When the blue dot turns pink, simply microwave the packet and voila, it can be reused. Thus far, after a few days, I have not seen a difference in color but time will tell. If they work well, I will purchase more and update the review.

Using these to capture condensation moisture from a modified counter top ice maker in my 3D printer dehumidifier.Some data (graph) on the range of temperature and humidity that these are effective at would be helpful to some of us.What is the lowest humidity level that is obtainable in a small sealed container.There is not a view port to the actual desiccant, it is a sensor on front for indication. I would rather see into the bag.This manufacturer did print the difference in colors when dry and saturated, nice to have if there are multiple brands in use.The two bags in my pictures show one that has been opened and laying on desk. About two weeks in a room without air conditioning, temp around 75 and RH of about 50%. In two weeks no describable color change of indicator. Don't know if they are working or not.

It seems like I can never get enough of these dessicant bags. I'm always finding another area that can use the benefit of moisture control. This is a 5 pack of 100 grams dessicant bags. Each bag has a blue dot on it that will turn pink when the bag is full of moisture. To recharge the bag simply follow the microwave directions on the back and the dot will turn back to blue and is ready to be used again. A simple dessicant bag can offer a large level of protection for so many special belongings. I'm very happy with these.

This is one of those products where it’s difficult to tell if it’s doing its job well. I’ve tossed one of these into the bottom of my workout bag to help mitigate the moisture and odor that comes with stuffing sweaty clothes in there. It’s kind of a big ask, so I don’t expect it to turn everything to roses. I’m sure it’s drawing in a least some of the humidity in the pack. It’s been a couple of weeks and the indicator hasn’t changed colors yet. I’m taking that as a good thing.

These are nice large desiccant packets of silica gel, similar to the small packets that are often times tossed into snacks, but much larger and reusable. These can be "recharged" by putting them in the microwave, which makes them super dry and ready to absorb moisture - the color on the front will be blue. Then you put these in your containers that you want to protect from humidity. After a while the color will turn pinkish, which means that they are no longer dry, and you need to recharge them again via microwave.These are great to use in containers that hold things like books or board games or anything else that doesn't like moisture. Also closets or under sinks which naturally have higher humidity. They can absorb a good amount of moisture before needing recharging, and if you have a particularily large space you can put several of these. Depending on your humidity levels and what you put them in, these can last up to several months.

So as an experiment I kept one of these on my desk to see how many days before it turned pink. After a month of no changes I tried moving it to the moistest place in the house; next to the shower in a bathroom with no exhaust fan or window. I left it there for a month as well and it still didn't turn even slightly pink! At this point I was starting to think it might not even absorb moisture, but I touched a drop of water to the blue spot and it did turn bright pink so it wasn't all just a big scam. I figured I'd try microwaving it as per the instructions just to watch the pink spot reset to blue, but when I opened the door afterwards a cloud of steam came billowing out, and the inside of the microwave was soaked wall to wall. The cloth on the outside of the pack was also dripping wet. This pack was holding a crazy amount of moisture!Knowing what I do now, I'm not sure what it would take to turn the blue spot pink, and after seeing that cloud of steam come out of a seemingly 100% blue spotted pack I might just suggest that you simply reset them once in a while regardless of what the blue spot reads. Other than my trust issues with the blue spot indicator, I find these things amazing. While they're clearly too big to be used for the main thing I wanted them for (keeping PLA filament dry) there are plenty of other uses for these!

So far I am only using these to keep pet food and people foods from getting stale and to extend shelf life.I have one in a 12kg container of dog food, another in with a container of rice, a third one in a large container of bird seed, and the final one in a big box of opened crackers.In hindsight, I think smaller packages would have worked better for me as they are a little large for most of my preferred uses. I tried this in a large ziplock bag with a 1kg bag of white sugar and it took so much moisture out of the sugar that the sugar became hard. It was obviously not a good use case but it definitely showed me the effectiveness.In the past I thought about saving all the small desicant packages from pill bottles and using them in rice, cereal, crackers and other foods that get stale or soggy so getting bigger packs made sense to me.After rechecking the description, I just grabbed one of these to put in my ball bag over the winter to keep any moisture from creating mold or mildew.The value is there for these packs as a simple microwaving reactivates the drying power so I imagine they'd be resuable almost forever. :)

Pros:- I wanted to use these for drying out a tablet that got wet, and they did a good job. I put two of them together with a tablet in a zip bag, and they absorbed all the moisture in a matter of hours. Much better than using rice which tends to get dust and small pieces of rice everywhere.- They are much larger than normal desiccant packs and so they are also much more powerful and will be longer lasting for absorbing humidity over time.- The recharging feature is great. It's super easy to recharge them in the microwave once they absorb a lot of moisture. So far so good!Totally a game-changer because they can be recharged, making them more eco-friendly and cost-effective compared to disposable options. Simply dry them out in the oven or microwave to restore their effectiveness.They do an excellent job keeping small spaces like drawers, closets, and containers dry. I noticed an immediate improvement in reducing dampness and preventing mold or odor.It includes an indicator that changes color when the gel is saturated, which is a helpful reminder to recharge them.Highly recommended!
