I'm not sure who's buying this kind of thing without realizing you need an air compressor. The listing mentions it so many times, I was a little worried it needed something special. But no, it works perfectly with my Campbell Hausfeld 8 gallon compressor and the standard fittings I use for everything else (paint sprayers, impact tools, etc)It's a little heavier than I was expecting, but the balance is good. I tested the bump-fire and it drove things home like a champ. It seems to be mostly metal construction and feels robust.

Working great so far, just did a little 8 x 8 shed with this, some siding and roofing and both did well. Depth adjustment worked well, not tearing shingles or splitting siding. It's heavy for siding but works really well for roofing. It's just a lot to hold up for vertical applications for any length of time.Controls operate smoothly, I over lube everything when I first start with a new tool and then once it breaks in a bit, I'll clean everting off and use just enough to keep lube on the moving parts. I haven't noticed an excessive amount of dark lube or anything, so it seems to be breaking in nicely. That's also an indication of good finish on the metal parts because something that is real rough fill turn the oil black very quickly. The adjustment for different size nails is nice, I've never used one before, so it took a bit to learn how to do it but now that I'm familiar with it, it's very easy to change sizes. Love that feature over the old Hitachi's I used 10 years ago that were just for 1.5-2" nails and there was no adjustment.

Great quality and easy to use nail gun. It is fairly heavy but it is also well balanced. Seems to be very responsive with bump trigger. I was only able to test it out as I am not currently working on building anything but was very impressed at how well it work and how fast it responded. Amazing quality and great value this thing is made like a tank. This is my first nail gun so I don't have anything to compare it against but can say it is heavy duty and works extremely well.

Most of my nail gun experience is using a brad nailer. This is a bit different from that. I do have minimal experience with larger nail guns (I inherited a framing gun from my late father in law), but not too much. From what I can tell, though, this gun is every bit as robust and stout as my father in law's Porter Cable. Both are heavy as all get out, which speaks to the materials used, I guess. Both can drive a nail like nothing. I'm very pleased with this one. The porter cable has seen better days. I don't do much framing, so I think I'll retire that Porter Cable and just keep this one around. Super impressed with it so far.

a very nice framing gun... I have had great luck with this brand in the pastcoils fit most nail makers, so easy to get nails...the ergonomics are very good, good balance...brand names, expect to pay 20-40% more for Bostich, etcthe firing is spot on, but then again, its brand new....Bump fire is very responsive and drives the nail head flush with properair adjustment as always....trigger fire, very responsive, load not too heavy on finger, yes after all day, u notice these thingsthe build quality is very very robust, alum, not plastic like some, will survive a fall much bettterthan plastic.... the size is BIG, dont be fooled, look at pix of gun in hand, to get a referencefor the serious hard core construction worker, not really for the DIYer, unless u r handy, big n strongOverall, had to find a flaw here.... 4.5 stars, recommended, great value and performance....

After a little fumbling loading the coils, I successfully shot hundreds of 1 3/4” ring nails without issues. Holding the trigger down and tapping the nose of the tool on the surface shoots the nail predictably. I did not have a single issue. The build quality seemed perfect and it was easy to use. Nails went where I intended.
