The Estwing EMPN Pneumatic Mini Palm Nailer with Magnetic Tip is the ideal solution for working in confined spaces where a regular hammer falls short. Using a rapid hammering action to drive nails, the palm nailer saves your arm from hand nailing all day. To activate the firing mechanism, simply load a nail into the magnetic holder and press the palm nailer into your work surface. Unlike conventional nail guns, the mini palm nailer is small, lightweight, and gives you precise placement and depth control. The small size makes it perfect for joist hangers, decking, fencing, and other spaces too small for your standard framing nailer. The tool-free finger depth adjust provides a wide variety of options for driving depth. A rubber backing gives a good grip while you squeeze into tight spaces, and a magnetic nail holder secures nails so you can place each one accurately. This palm nailer is suitable for any professional construction contractor at the job site or DIYer at home. The Pneumatic Mini Palm Nailer with Magnetic Tip is part of Estwing's professional line of pneumatic tools, and is covered by a 5 Year Professional Tool Warranty and 90 Day Wearable Parts Warranty.

This is my first Estwing pneumatic tool. I tested the palm nailer with a Porter Cable 150psi 6 gallon pancake compressor. The palm nailer is rated at 80-100 psi and drives 2"-4" inch nails. My testing was done at 90psi with various size commonly used construction nails that range from 3-1/2" to 1" inch. I have heard complaints about the size of the strike face and the palm nailer stalling when driving a nail. If you push to hard the nailer does stall. All you have to do is not push so hard and let the tool do the work. By backing off a little the tool works just fine. The size of the strike face does seem to be a little small but palm nailers are not meant to drive finish nails. People have complained about nail heads getting past the strike face and getting stuck. I dont know any carpenters that use a palm nailer to drive finish nails . All of the full round head nails I drove went right in with no problems. The depth of drive works well also. It easily adjusts from left to right. Sure I could have bought a Senco or Bostitch for the same price but I wanted to try something new and this little palm nailer works just fine. More field testing later.

Loved using this building my deck. It made driving nails in close quarters a breeze. I’d probably use it even in the open too, it’s fast and I don’t have to worry about hammering my fingers anymore. It’s loud and vibrates hard, but it’s totally worth it

Its nice looking , I am an estwing hammer guy and have had one of their lisenced nail guns. I feel like this isn't a higher quality product though doesnt have the power that my cheaper hf one had. While it works if your using it to go through gussets on trusses its a tad slower than some other brands but it does get it done

Used this to make 12 trusses. Made thru 10 of them, then it quit working. Leaking air around the head of the palm nailer.

the unit I bought was supposed to be "like new in original packaging". It wasn't. It was well used and showed signs of heavy use - and yes, it was in the original packaging. when i hooked it to my compressor it started hissing and leaking air immediately. bad gasket/membrane. i sent it back. the tool might be an ok product, but the one i received was not.

Exactly what I needed for the job. Works great, stows away easy and fittings are the same as my other equipment.

Works well for a palm nailer but you’ll need hearing protection!!

This mini-palm nailer works well but I couldn't use it without purchasing some of the special air tool lubricant needed for proper maintenance. Local retailers only sell expensive large bottles, but Amazon sells in smaller ($5.00) quantities more in line with my needs.
