I have a platform bed and I didn’t think that I needed anything else to support it, but I was wrong. I was told a bunkie board would make my bed sturdier. I put these in place by myself. They were easy to carry. It was the mattress that was heavy! I’ve slept on this bed and have felt secure knowing I’ve got those boards in place. These are quality pieces that seem built to last. I don’t anticipate having any issues with them for the life of this bed. I would definitely buy them again.

My wife and I bought a memory foam mattress and a bed frame from Amazon a while ago and they are great, however the mattress definitely needs some sort of solid board underneath and I figured this would be better than splintering up than the bottom of the mattress with a sheet of plywood. However you can see by the photos the bunkie boards I purchased for our king bed were built poorly and it broke on the SECOND NIGHT of use! I was so upset and when I saw that the supports were “toe screwed” into place I was quite irrate. Because the screw was placed like this in the top side it split right through the wood and sunk in under a small amount of weight. It’s also a very short single screw….rather than waiting two weeks+ for an exchange I figured I would disassemble and investigate and see if I could repair/upgrade the situation… My advise, save some money and buy some plywood.

My dog tore both his back acl. Did not want him jumping on my bed so I bought these to make it a platform bed. Worked perfectly!!! Highly recommend.
