Short term rental?Small apartment/limited space? On a budget?Limited mobility and/or unable to haul bulky items? It's true you can most likely go to a home depot and slap these slabs together for cheap, but definitely worth purchasing if your answer to all the above was yes.*Also, the boards are a quick fix, not meant to fit full bed measurements perfectly. Just place in the center and your bed will be properly supported, Your welcome.

I ordered this for a brand new very pricey mattress. The bed base that it is going on has very wide slats, and would require a very sturdy and thick bunkie board for support. The only way I could find to determine the thickness was the images of the product as it wasn't available in the description. In the images it appears to be 1" thick. FAR FROM IT! I bet if measured with a caliper, it would not come to a full 1/4", although close.I wanted to return it immediately. But sadly, I didn't have enough time before the delivery to have something quality delivered. I had to rip apart the original box spring that I was replacing. And try to use the wire mesh and some of the slats to create an actual support system underneath it so that it would hold!! If I wanted to spend all day playing sweaty MacGyver in my hot garage, then I wouldn't have paid good money for this piece!!!

I'm a bit annoyed about this bunkie board. I've recently hurt my wrist, so my lifting strength of something this big is around your average teenage girl currently. I can barely lift it. The wood is some kind of cheap mdf-ish composite, which has a smooth wax texture, meaning that whatever you put above it and below it will slide around because it has almost no friction to speak of. I would have preferred something more coarse. My wood slat bed had built in ADHESIVE to specifically hold on to a bunkie board, and this bunkie board is so slick that it slides around anyway. This alone has me tempted to rate it very low, as it's just a poorly chosen material product. That said, it functions well as a bunkie board, but arrived with visible damage on arrival, with barely any protective material in the box. It's literally just a couple of boards, stapled somewhat messily to some nylon(probably?) straps, creating a foldable package. In terms of value, it is definitely cheaper to make your own, and it would likely be higher quality, even for a novice carpenter. If this product wanted to improve, I would want some kind of mounting point on the bunkie allowing you to zip tie it tight to a wood-slat style bedframe. I will likely just drill a hole and make one to improve the function of this product. The measurements listed on the store page were reasonably accurate, and fit my bed fine, as I planned.

First off when I open the box I just knew I was going to return this thing. That it is going to be broken because it's so flimsly made. But once I put it on the bed and finally went to bed at night (I have arthritis in both my shoulders and both hips are replaced) I've always tossed and turned all night long. I had the best sleep in a long time I only turned like once. We have a queen size metal frame with slats that bow upward. I did not feel the bump in the bed and I did not feel like I would slide off.

The item was too small for my full size bed.

This product didn’t come close to matching the size of a full size bed. There is about a two foot gap at the top as 1 foot gap along the sides. VERY DISAPPOINTED!The only good thing I can say is it’s made of sturdy material. That’s it.

Exactly what I needed for my daughter's metal bed! Sizing is perfect and so is the quality. Her bed now is super steady and doesn't make any squeaky noises when she's tossing and turning through the night that make her wake up (that's her usual way of sleeping, unfortunately, all over the bed). I totally recommend this product!

This item was so cheap. It didn't even cover the majority of the base and is literally useless. The Velcro lines aren't even lined up and look tacky even though this item would be underneath a mattress. It would slide around and give little to no support to a mattress. I'm in complete shock that this item is even being marketed as something effective. Horrible on all accounts. You would need two just to cover a twin mattress. I have a daybed and wouldn't even think of keeping this item to give me support, particularly in that I have back problems. You would be much better served simply going to home Depot and having them cut you a flat piece of wood the dimensions of your mattress to sit right underneath than to get this piece of crap. I'll be returning.
