Bought this to use a Chuck in the tail stock for keeping bowls centered , but started making tailstocks to use for vases etc. works great

Exactly what I was looking for. I bought a 1x8 tap to go with this so that I can make my own cups, cones, etc. Great for making spheres on the lathe.

So many ideas about this tool to make have a 1x8 tap. You can put a screw in the bottom of the mortise and back it out of your tail stock so nice I had to put pudy steel on some of mine to get them to work correctly and not have to use a hammer on them after removing the threaded insert and a punch

The live end is great and works well. No wobble. Good bearings. The problem and reason I didnt give 5 stars is because it did NOT come with the wrench that they said it came with. No wrench!EDIT: so I got a second one and NO WRENCH…. So it wasn't/isn’t a mistake. A thin wrench is needed to tighten it. Bummer!
