With its brushless motor powered by a DEWALT 20V MAX* Lithium-Ion battery the DCN660 is ready to go to work without the hassle of using gas, compressor, and hose. Tackle jobs both large and small with the features of a pneumatic tool and the freedom of cordless. *Maximum initial battery voltage (measured without a workload) is 20V. Nominal voltage is 18V.

I have several pneumatic guns but this battery nail gun is so much more handy to use without compressor and hoses needed. Works great for my uses.

What a great little nailer! I've been doing finish carpentry for 13 years and I can't believe I didn't buy one of these puppies sooner. I was a bit leery about how well an electric nailer would work, but I had a job coming up to put some crown molding in a house with people living in it. I didn't want to have to drag a compressor around and risk damaging any of their stuff by catching the hose. Also, the gentleman of the house worked from a home a few days a week and I wanted to keep as quiet as I could, so not to interrupt his business phone calls. This unit works every bit as good as any of the air nailers I've used, doesn't splatter any air oil (obviously), and never misfired once. And still hasn't! The batteries last a very, very long time. I put them on the charger overnight but they never even ran down halfway over the course of a 10 hour workday. As an added bonus, they'll work in my drills as well, so that's always good. The current picture shows a cloth bag, but mine came with a nice hard case with room for some packs of nails. Not sure what's up with that. The only gripe I have, and it isn't really a gripe, is that this unit takes angled nails which are a little harder to come by. I never had any problems finding them at my local home improvement stores, but the selection is a 10th or less than the straight nails. That could be an issue if you were after some specialty nails, I suppose.

Most of my tools are Dewalt. Quality products that hold up to lots of use. We use these drills even more than I thought we would.

This is seriously my new favorite toy! And I have a whole lot of tools. I can't say enough about it. It runs almost all day without changing the battery. It shoots 16 gauge pins, but the nail holes more closely resemble an 18. It makes me regret even having a compressor anymore. It's miles above the passlode or other gas assisted models. All my other contractor friends are super jealous lol. I have had no issues with it not driving a nail, even 2/1/2 inchers, in hardwood. This is a must have for any good professional. It will pay for itself the first time you don't have to load up 2 guns a compressor and hose to go do a small job....or the first time you have to carry it up a few flights of stairs or a ladder. The framing nailer is on my Christmas wish list. The 18 gauge is supposedly coming out next year, but honestly. The holes are so clean with this one, it kind of makes it obsolete. As with any gun, from time to time there is a jam or misfire, but the problem is easily rectified with the quick release head, and a bypass switch located on the top of the gun.( Totally hasn't been an issue, but worth mentioning. ) I am a dewalt purist for over a decade, this might be one of their best yet! Especially if you already use some of their other battery powered equipment. Don't hesitate...one click buy!

I used it to hang a door and hang the casing trim. The nailer was accurate and easy to use. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is I just wish it could shoot more rapidly. I’m used to my old air nailer that could shoot as fast as I could pull the trigger. This didn’t slow me down much but it was something I had to get used to.

This is my first nailer. What a game changer. Able to complete my project expeditiously. I have major arthritis in my left hand after heart surgery so little projects were not on my agenda until I purchased this equipmentExtremely happy with it. Our metal awning fell from the adverse rains in the beginning of years enclosed before and after photographs. All done with this nailer.

It may be silly to get a 16 ga nailer when I already have a DCN650. DCN680. DCN681, but there are times when I want a fastener heavier than the 18’s but a smaller hole than the 15 ga. Again it may be purely psychological, but that said I really like the 16 gauge nailer. I like the angled feed for getting into corners, but what I really like about the DEWALT nailers is the precision tip for guiding nail placement. The plastic is white which really helps picking out the tip and allows for very accurate placement. In the old days when I used air guns I would often have a nail squirt out the side or splinter something because it was being fired at an odd angle or visually you couldn’t see exactly where you are...not the case with this new generation of 20V nailers. The rate of fire on the nailer is also outstanding. The other day I had several pieces of 1 x 6 spruce laid out ready to nail. I basically used a strip plus of nails in just a few seconds. It was performance I would be used to with air but often find lacking with a battery gun. There are benefits to air, but every time I finish a project and have not fought tangling hoses, not had to listen to the constant noise of the compressor, and have completely avoided those occasions where electric compressors kick off a breakers or a gas compressor has engine issues, I thank my luck stars for modern LiON batteries. If you don’t have either the 650 or 680 this is a good compromise gun, if you have the 680 then I would recommend this gun or the 15 ga...0pretty much depends on what Kind of work you do the most.

Love it! Bought it for $407.15 CAD and it has made home reno’s so much easier. No fussing with air compressors or noise. Has the power and lasts long on charges. Totally recommend it.

So far so good... Haven't used it that much yet but when I have it has performed well. Only downside hear is the difficulty finding different size nails.. can only find 1 1/4 to 2 1/2. And comes in a soft bag. Also.... 12 GAUGE.... not 12 GALLON... hahaha.

Tons of power, lightweight and gets good run life out of a battery. I also have the Dewalt 18ga finish nailer and this one is by far superior.
