These are really nice to apply conditioning oil to cutting boards. It helps spread the oil evenly and makes it a cleaner process. It keeps your hands clean and doesn't leave lint like a paper towel.

Are these better than a microfiber cloth? I'm not convinced. I tried one on my cutting board and it worked OK but not better than a cloth. I tried on my wooden kitchen knife handles etc and it is more cumbersome than a cloth. Since I had three of the I thought try one on my tires. It did work OK on applying tire dressing without getting your my hands black. The handle is large and fits well in your hand.

Well, here I am again: thinking outside the box. And not a ton outside - when these were available, I needed paint daubers for a few projects I was working on, and they looked JUST like what I was about to buy for paint daubers. So, I ordered them for that purpose.And they worked perfectly. Distributed paint well, washed up easily (that was determined more by the paint comp, but still, they didn't fall apart or separate).Overall, they worked very well in their moonlighting job. I can absolutely see them doing well going totally ham on getting your cutting boards healthy with lots of oil. Price seems very reasonable for such thick sponge with solid wood handles.So, Recommended - use them! However!! :)

I'm reviewing VALENTISE Cutting Board Oil Wax Applicators, Mineral Oil Applicator for Wood Cutting Board, Spoons,Spatulas, 3 Pack.These are nicely made oil applicators. The foam absorbed the oil, then distributed it evenly over my cutting board as I rubbed it across. I found that it works better to dip the sponge portion into the oil than to try to pour oil onto the sponge. I put dollop of oil on a small plate to dip the sponge into and applied more oil as needed.When done, I put a small squirt of dish soap on the sponge and washed out the excess oil with that soap and warm water then air dried.At the current price of $8.99 that comes to $3.00 each which I find to be reasonable.As a side note, these VALENTISE Cutting Board Oil Wax Applicators are made in China.

The sponges work quite well to spread mineral oil onto wood cutting boards and are nice looking. The set of three is more than I need, as one job really does the job fine and will last a decent amount of time. I’d prefer a set of two. But overall, at a cost of about $3 each, this set is good value.
