I just installed 100 feet of cedar fencing with this nail gun with no issues whatsoever! Just oil it, and it will run! Depth adjustment is easy in combo with the psi as an adjustment, and the no-mar tip did not chew up the boards. No jams or problems. The wide variety of nail lengths this gun takes makes it very versatile.

I was debating getting this or the N65 for a siding project. This came up at a better price so I went with it. I found it easy to load the nails, never jammed once in 1200 or so nails, so overall I think this is a solid nail gun. As an amateur, what I didn't realize until i got part of the way into the job was that this gun is definitely better in open spaces (sheathing, framing) than tight spaces like inside corners. It's a bit longer than a traditional siding gun so I found myself having to position the gun at funny angles to get the nails right where I wanted them.So the price was right and I don't regret my purchase, but if the prices between a more compact siding gun and this one were the same, I'd probably pick a traditional siding gun just for the maneuverability. Also worth noting that this gun comes with the bump fire trigger installed and no instructions on how to install the single fire trigger. I misfired a couple of nails on top of each other before I figured out that I needed to install the other trigger it comes with, then installed the trigger without issue, but I was a little surprised with this.

This gun works great for nailing wall and roof sheeting. Easy depth setting. Reliable operation. Lightweight. Preferred it over old Hitachi model.

After much agonizing and fret between this one and the n66 model. I decided to go for this one. Same price and I figured it’s 2 guns in 1 because I could use it for framing and for siding. If you plan on installing hardie siding, this is not the gun for you. I just finished a project and could not get the gun to shoot consistently no matter how I messed with the settings. Hardie requires finesse with the nails, this gun always over drives them or under drives them or bends the nail over or double fires. I tried every setting from 80 psi to 100 psi and could not get it consistent. I even tried different nails and different lengths. If you plan on getting this for hardie siding..do yourself a favor and get the n66 it’s special just for siding. Also it will be smaller, I found it hard to shoot nails in corners. I did install some sheathing with it and nailed an entire fence. Was excellent for both as long as you keep it oiled. All my nail guns are either bostich or dewalt (same brands) I’ve had incredible success with them in pneumatic department, but this gun ain’t it.

Despite some of the negative reviews I purchased this nail gun. It appealed to me because it is capable of shooting down to a 1 1/2" siding nail and up to a 3" framing nail. (two in one). I purchased some 1 1/2" nails locally for a siding project I have and the gun would shoot one nail and not feed the next nail. I took the gun and nails to the place I purchased the nails (a place that specializes in fasteners and nail guns, not big box) prepared to buy a siding nailer they recommended. They asked to see the gun, even though they do not sell Bostitch they recognized the problem immediately. Not the gun but the nails. They explained the wire spacing on the nail coil from one nail manufacturer to another can vary slightly. The solution was to grind down the teeth on the feed pawl of the gun to allow for out of tolerance nails. They said it is common to have to do this on all nail gun manufacturers. The gun now shoot flawlessly! The only reasons I did not give it five stars is Bostitch should have accounted for this variation in nails in the design of the gun and second I have only shoot the gun a few times so don't know about the longevity of the gun. By the way place that fixed the gun was Southern Fastener in Oklahoma City. They did it for free, great people!

So far so good ! 4 squares of shakes up without any misses. The gun is fairly well made. A little more plastic than the old guns were made of but I guess that is the way things are now. Works well and loads easily. It was easy to set the pressure for the nails which is a plus and they were consistent in depth.

I was really worried about getting this after reading several negative reviews, but I'm not aware of any other siding nailers that can handle the 2 3/8" x 0.133 ring shanks specced for my SmartSide LP panels, so I decided to risk it. Glad I did! I ran about 2000 nails through this guy with no major problems. There's definitely a technique to getting the perfect depth (which I'm still learning!), but hey it sure beats the alternative. This nailer is easy to load and operate, and reliable. Very glad I have it.

Read the reviews on Amazon and bought the Bostitch gun with no small consternation, but the thought of pre-drilling and hammering all the siding I needed to replace was even more dismaying. So glad I took the leap. This gun is great once you figure out the air pressure you need to run and the depth setting. Made for a fast and easy job. I cannot recommend this gun enough! Thanks Bostitch for a great tool!

I bought this for a sheathing gun for framing. It works a lot better with Smooth nails than spirals for some reason,. Whenever I load spirals it misfires every second shot, and frequently fires double shots, not the greatest for a higher up name brand but it is light and Hook is very handy

worked OK....shot a lot of nails on our new build...but temperamental....not what I expect from Bostitch products...everything must be kept lubed...both inside the gun....and also outside around the nail carrier assembly....or it will jamb and misfire...Once you know this..problems are minimal
