I love having this available in my camper for bonfire season! The hardware at end of handles could be better. Still need to do more testing to update a better quality review.

They're lightweight, but I wouldn't consider them heavy duty. The handle is hollow on the inside (which is where the weight savings come from). The major factor here is that it's expandable by adding a section to the handle.There's some assembly required, but mostly straightforward. There's kind of only one way for everything to fit together.

Why doesn't this arrive assembled? It should be easy. I'm a 50yr old woman with a college degree. A lovely adventurous person. The screws are just too short! If you feed a screw thru both necessary parts, it doesn't poke thru with any clearance. Not even close enough for the nut to go on.... and that's without the washers! No instructions were included, I dint know which sides the washers go on but that's irrelevant at this point. I honestly don't know how there's any way I could be putting these basic things together wrong. It's not a directional problem of "seating" the parts together, I've tried both ends both ways. Please, someone school me. My husband is worthless in this matter, he is less DIY than I am. I fixed the dishwasher. I changed the electrical outlets. Please, man-splain me, make me feel dumb, I don't care, I'll even call you 'Daddy' if you need that. But I'm going camping in the morning and it's 9pm and I just opened my Amazon box and this is dumb. Why didn't the manufacturer put these together to see the error? I don't have random screws lying around and I shouldn't have to go shopping for any for a brand new Amazon purchase. Big disappointment! Guess I'll have to move hot logs with my bare hands. I'll upload those pictures next. Thanks for reading. Please reach out if you can.Can't rate higher than 2 stars if I can't even try the things out. 2 stars because it feels like good weight in the metal and the hand grips are nicely textured.
