The ease of use is excellent. The only downside is some misfires. Occasionally a nail will not fire, but it works really well otherwise.

This nail gun is an absolute nightmare. First of all problems is that it took me at least 20 tries until I finally got it to shoot one nail. Then, it didn't shoot another until after I repositioned the power dial many times. Than it shot four nails and it stopped again. I had to go through the adjusting process every 30 seconds or so. I tried changing the depth, too. It didn't help. An even bigger problem is that NONE of the nails made it all the way into the material. Some were left out about 1/8 on an inch, some even 1.5 inch. I was installing 0.5 inch MDF trim, using 1,5 inch nails. I tried the same nails with the same settings on pine wood and the nails made it all the way in, when and if it fired, which was about 20% of all tries. I tried to install 0.5 inch MDF baseboard, so I switched to 2 inch nails. It never fired those nails no matter what troubleshooting I tried. I wasn't ready to use it when I bought it, so it took me over a month till I found out how awful this thing it was, so the return window was closed when I tried to send it back. Another annoying thing is that it is extremely heavy and it doesn't rest on the surface when you put it bottom down, flat on the battery, like other Ridgid hand-held power tools. I am stuck with a pretty expensive, useless tool.

I'm not sure I should be leaving a review for this nailer because we bought a used like new from Amazon. It arrived in a damaged box as the description said it would. But it must have had some abuse because it didn't work 50%-60% of the time. It sank a few good brads , other times it would click but not actuate. Ended up returning for refund. Maybe I'll try a new one some day when they aren't so overpriced

This is used daily for baseboard trim replacement after the floating floor is completed. Works good and no hoses.

Tool is well built and feels nice in the hand. I use a 2aH battery to keep it as light as possible. My only complaint is that I had to take the battery out and put it back on 4-5 times throughout shooting about 50 nails. For whatever reason the gun stops shooting and thats the only thing I found that fixes it.
