I wanted to be able to get into bed without pole vaulting, and this bunkie board provided a firm and stable mattress base with minimal height increase to the mattress and frame. Perfect!

First of all, thank goodness this is in two 25-pound pieces instead of one big 50-pound piece. I was able to put this in place by myself with no trouble. I got this because of my metal bedframe in the guest room. Without a Bunkie board in place, when you tuck the sheets and blankets under the mattress, you see the excess under the bed, hanging through the crossbars. This works beautifully to resolve that issue.One very important point – it’s best if your bedframe has a lip or rim to it, so you can set these pieces inside the frame. That will keep them from sliding and will keep them out of sight. My bedframe does NOT have a rim, so this one-inch gray layer does show a bit. I was initially disappointed, but I have to admit it’s a very minor issue; i.e., it really doesn’t look bad. And if your bed covering (comforter or whatever) is long enough, it will hide the gray panel anyway. I was thinking I would have to find a way to anchor the pieces to the bedframe so they don’t slide around, but they actually stay in place pretty well.The pieces are very solid and will add good support for your mattress, if that’s what you’re looking for.

Unbelievably easy and fast to get under your mattress! Good for memory foam mattresses as it keep it from sagging. Also adding an extra inch doesn't hurt.

Bought this for a bed at my parents bed. The way the bed frame was designed, squared corners, it would t lay flat. So we weren’t able to use it.

Bought an expensive mattress but still sore in the morning. The low profile metal foundation looked ok but it needed some help. This did the trick. Fit perfectly on our queen size bed. Worth every penny.
