You buy something like to make things easier and safer. And then it fails when it counts the most. Luckily we had the transmission strapped in place before it broke. I don’t know why even Chinese engineers would have thought this attachment was adequate. Had to weld it together myself to make it work. If it weren’t for that I’d probably return it.

I agree with the other reviews, it was packaged very badly. All parts were loose in a then wooden box. The Transmission support part of the jack was missing the bolt to tilt the support back and forth. I used the bolt that slid the support side to side for the tilt and just welded the other part on (figured I could just use the wheels to move it back and forth. The round handle doesn't attached to well to the base and keep popping up/off. The jack pumped up just fine but jumps a little when lowering. I think there might be air in it or low on oil. I used it to remove and install my daughters FWD transmission. It worked fine once I fixed the issues I had. For the price and for my home garage it's not a bad buy. I knew what I was getting and I expected to have to fix it out of the box. I found these issues small compared to the price jump for better quality jacks.

For a non commercial use jack is a decent purchase for the price. All parts are just laying in box. Washers falling out, holes in box due to heavy parts loose and not secured. Quality of hardware is poor. Recommend buying all at a hardware store. ( Flat washers ok). Need to grind down welds on legs as they don't mate up to base of jack flush. Also the 24mm nut on wheels requires super thin wrench ( bicycle mech. tools work) to tighten acorn nuts to legs.

Some parts were missing, I had to get from the hardware store. The assembly instructions were not good ,had to assemble by the pictures of the unit on the internet . The handle around the top of unit was so far apart , I had to use C-clamps to assest in assembly .But for the cost of the transmission jack compared to other units it's a good deal.
