This “wooden” wall clock is NOT wood. It’s plastic in the back, with a wood-look laminate on the clock face. Although the product page states “No Solid Wood” at the end of the title description, I missed seeing that since the first four words in the description were “Blue Wooden Wall Clock.” Also, it falsely states under the product information: Material—Wood / Frame Material—Wood, neither of which are true, especially since the clock has no frame. This of course, led to a little disappointment with the clock. Fortunately, I received this for free in exchange for an honest review, but had I paid for it, I’d be a bit peeved.However, if you’re aware of what you’re getting and if you don’t care that it’s obvious that it’s not real wood when you see it in person—then it’s still a nice clock. The numbers and hands are large and easily visible across the room. And since the clock is plastic, it’s very lightweight and only needs a 10-pound nail to hang it. Also, I love that it’s a silent, non-ticking movement—because ticking clocks in a quiet room really irritate me. The colors are attractive, and it's less "institutional" looking than a black-and-white clock, so overall, it will do for my needs until I find something I like better.

I ordered the brown one, but was disappointed that it didn't look like the picture in the Amazon listing. It appears to be a printed paper face on particle board (MDF.) It just looked really cheap - not realistic - so I returned it for a refund.
