Is it at work, wanted something that didn’t hang on the helmet to protect me from neck burn, tad warm for summer use but should expect that if it is supposed to work, I like it and use it

When I purchased this product, it was labeled as a hockey neck guard (along with welding, motorcycle riding, etc.), with hockey only listed in one spot. The material is definitely fire-resistant, and it seems like it can be cut resistant from some personal tests, however the fit and material of it compared to other hockey neck guards does not correlate. The item should be in a different safety category than hockey, in which this could be a 4 or 5 star item!tl;dr not a hockey neck guard, would do fine for other listed groups. Bought for hockey as the item was described as a hockey neck guard, which influenced my review.

My high school hockey player gave this a real quick no. We wanted him to have an extra neck guard in his bag and he didn't even want this for his backup. I figured it would be better than the velcro wrap-around, but it leads to overheating like wearing a heavy turtleneck on the ice.Size wise it fits fine on him (5'9" 150#). I'm going to keep this for when we go to watch/help grandpa practice welding.But if you were going to buy this for hockey... I'd pass this one by.
