About this item

  • TOP MOUNT TWIST FAUCET: Designed to work seamlessly with reverse osmosis under sink water filtration systems, the Watts Premier Top Mount Air Gap Faucet complies with all US plumbing codes, ensuring safe and effective operation within your water system. It has a variable flow lever and twist mechanism for dispensing and controlling water and boasts an elegant brushed nickel finish.
  • EASY TO INSTALL: This faucet is equipped with all required tubes to facilitate hassle-free installation and connection: a 3/8” blue tube, approximately 4’ in length, for connecting the drinking water supply, a 1/4” red tube, also about 4’ long, for connecting to the air gap of the faucet, and a 3’ long 3/8” black tube for connection to the drain.
  • BACKFLOW PREVENTION: Unlike non-air gap faucets, this air gap faucet requires a drain connection in order to prevent backflow; by creating a physical break in the flow of water between the RO system and the drain, it ensures that wastewater cannot siphon back into the clean water supply. It also includes backflow prevention valves installed between the elements, and cartridges have double O-rings to prevent leaks.
  • MONITORING SYSTEM: This faucet features a monitoring system with a convenient alert mechanism to indicate filter status. While it does not test water quality, it alerts users with a blinking red light after 6 months that it is time to change the filter, while a blinking blue light indicates that the system is operating correctly.
  • THE PREMIER DIFFERENCE: Since our founding in 1989, Premier has been dedicated to the design, development, and marketing of high-quality water filtration systems that exceed industry standards. Following our Watts Water Technologies in 2001, our audience and influence have only expanded, solidifying Watts Premier as a trusted leader in the industry.

Designed to work seamlessly with reverse osmosis under sink water filtration systems, the Watts Premier Top Mount Air Gap Faucet ensures safe and effective operation within your water system while complying with all US plumbing codes. This faucet features a variable flow lever and twist mechanism for dispensing water, offering precise control over the water flow, and boasts an elegant brushed nickel finish to complement any kitchen's decor.
This faucet includes a comprehensive set of tubes to facilitate hassle-free installation and connection: a 3/8" blue tube, approximately 4' in length, for connecting the drinking water supply, a 1/4" red tube, also about 4' long, for connecting to the air gap of the faucet, and a 3' long 3/8" black tube for connection to the drain.
Unlike non-air gap faucets, this air gap faucet requires a drain connection to prevent backflow; by creating a physical break in the flow of water between the RO system and the drain, it ensures that wastewater cannot siphon back into the clean water supply, thus maintaining the integrity of your drinking water. Additionally, backflow prevention valves are installed between the elements, and cartridges are equipped with double O-rings to prevent leaks, ensuring a secure and reliable system.
Finally, this faucet's integrated monitoring system provides users with timely alerts regarding the status of their filter. While the system does not test water quality, it operates on a timer-based mechanism that tracks the usage of the faucet and indicates filter status, with a blinking red light appearing after six months to signal that it is time to change the filter and a blinking blue light to indicate that the system is operating correctly.

I tried two other cheaper faucets to replace my old corroded Watts faucet (15 yrs+ old). The first one leaked profusely after installing and the other was so cheap looking it was embarrassing to put in the kitchen. Since I needed the air gap, my choices were limited. The install was substantially easier and quicker and the faucet came with all of the parts needed to replace the old ones. It required a minor tweak to stop a minor leak but has been leak-free, works exactly like it should, and looks worthy to be in a nice kitchen. I would eliminate the electronic filter indicator if I could since my original one corroded rather early (electronics and water don’t tend to work long), but will see how this one does. So worth the extra dollars for this faucet.

Like others we purchased our Watts Premier under the sink reverse osmosis water filtration system from Costco and has worked well for over 10 years. We recently had to replace the original faucet due to corrosion and sediment build up from "hard water" which caused the faucet to leak. We eventually a purchase compatible replacement unit (we did not find a compatible one at our local "Home Depott"). We had a licensed plumber install the unit. It worked for 2 months without issue, and recently started leaking; water was coming from the air vent on back of the faucet unit. We called a different licensed plumber who admitted they don't work with these systems and don't have too much experience with them...(red flag). After some poor advice ("buy a new faucet because the new one you bought is defective") I decided to look it up myself and see what I can do. Clearly this plumber wasn't willing to do anything except collect a service call fee. Short story after looking in up, I found the solution. I had sediment build up in the drain line and after a 10 minutes it was clear and works perfectly without any leaks. The moral of the story is that 1. this product is great. 2. Good help is hard to find. 3. Do your own research (internet search) and the universe will provide you with a solution, at least in this case.I don't know if they'll flag links, so search for "Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration Leak Fix From Air Gap" 2019 and "Watts Premier Reverse Osmosis leaking FIX" 2015. 10 minutes of video and 10 minute repair solved my leak issue.

We have a Watts Premier reverse osmosis system that is probably around 15 years old now. Recently the faucet had started dripping. I couldn't see any easy way to replace the seals, plus the old one was chrome and the sink faucet we have now is the brushed stainless, so I decided to just order this new one to replace it.Installation was pretty simple. Most of the work can be done from above. The old faucet didn't provide quick connects for the hoses, so I had to cut them off.The new faucet came with hoses, but it was a little weird because the while the faucet itself came in a box, the hoses were just loose. You would think they would put them all in one box together. Everything looked new, but it made me wonder if it was a return.I ended up using most of the old hoses just because it was easier than rerouting new ones. The only problem I had was that apparently, I didn't get the black one seated far enough in the quick connect and it leaked when I first turned the water back on. Took me a couple tries, including replacing the old hose with the new one before I realized it hadn't gotten in quite far enough. I think because the black one was a larger diameter it took more force than the others to get all the way seated.Once I got that fixed, everything was fine with no leaks or drips. It matches the sink faucet better than the old one, so my wife is happy too.A bit annoying to have to replace the whole faucet for a drip, but a little easier to swallow when you consider it was an upgrade in looks as well.Side note: Once I was satisfied with the new one, I tried taking the old one apart just to see if the seals could have been replaced and saved a few $. But honestly, I couldn't figure out any way to get to them. I got the base and the handle off, but it didn't reveal much. Seems like everything is pressed in. Even the hoses don't seem to be removable. I didn't put too much effort into disassembly since I had no intention of reusing it, but basically it appears that if anything goes wrong, there is no choice but to replace the whole thing. At least the new one had removable hoses so the old hoses could be reused if desired.

It looks wonderful and was just the type we wanted for our R/o filter but it leaked and my husband couldn't fix it, so he called the company (Watts) because their products are very fine and he talked with a technician who seemed to know exactly what he was talking about. The technician said to return it as it most likely is defective and to get another one. We've ordered another and I will post another review if the next one performs well or not.September 3, 2013 We finally received another one of this product and it works like a dream! I now give it 5 STARS.The bad experience is really about Complete Filtration Services who never responded once to my request to return the defective one. I had to get Amazon involved to file a claim against this company so I could return the defective one and get my money back. Amazon responded quickly and very efficiently. Complete Filtration didn't respond to them either! So Amazon refunded my money even though this was an order from a third party. Now about this product. As I said earlier, it is made by Watts and they make very fine products. We love this filter so much we can't keep mentioning it. It has strong stream of water. It doesn't make any sound. Our last one before our kitchen remodel made so much noise and had a limited flow, etc. This product will make you smile every time you get water from it. We do....:)

I bought and installed this faucet to replace the piece of junk that came with my second Watts RO Pure system. It is very similar to the faucet that came with my first system. I needed to buy a 1/4" to 3/8" adapter for the blue tube because it was not included. Instead of a proper rubber gasket at the base, there is a foam ring with adhesive. Only time will tell how durable the foam ring is.Once I connected the faucet, water was leaking out under the counter. It looked like the water was actually leaking from above the tubing connections. However, it was impossible to know for sure where the water was coming from. I had to assume that the water was leaking from one of the tubing connections, but I couldn't tell if it was the red connection or the black connection. The tubing was inserted correctly (this is not my first rodeo). I made several attempts, re-cutting the ends of the tubing each time, but there was always something leaking. As mentioned in another review, the butterfly nut pressed against both the red and the black tube no matter how the faucet was positioned over the hole and this may have contributed to the problem.Long story short, I bypassed the air gap by connecting the red tube to the black tube with a 1/4" to 3/8" adapter. To prevent backflow from the drain, I put two check valves in the red tubing and ran it up and over the under-counter sink supports to create a high arch. The following morning, there were drops of water hanging from the blue tubing. Using a flashlight, i could see that it was leaking from inside the faucet. Water was getting past the o-rings inside. What a headache. I returned it to Amazon.
