I purchased 2 of these and both resulted in dumping water into the brine tank during the regen cycle. I thought something else was wrong until I tried everything possible to make the softener work properly. Then I purchased an OEM unit from a local softener installer and it worked perfect. These are out of spec and defective right out of the box.

I ordered a Clack spacer stack that cost $56.41 and it was defective. The molding for the stack had an edge on it and consequently, it would not seal and continued to leak water. I returned the stack for a new one and the seller sent me a black water Repair wrench that cost $22.98. Consequently the return time had expired and I was stuck with the repair tool and not the spacer stack that I originally ordered.

Large spacer and seal assembly with accompanying amber-colored piston and stem. Approximate dimensions of the spacer/seal assembly are 5-inches tall by 2.5-inches in diameter.Interesting to note that spacers appear assembled from two separate pieces and not cast as a single part. If true, two-part construction may cause spacers to be vulnerable to separation if not fused or glued. The packaging does not include any technical specifications, so there’s no detail showing the composition of materials used to manufacture the product components. A small box label only identifies contents as “Upgraded WS1, V3011, V3174, V3005.” Made in China.
