I got this green LED fishing light because I fish and wanted to try it out with fish under the ice, a la ice fishing. This light has a sleek appearance – I like the appearance of the LED panels versus the numerous discrete LED bulbs. But I don’t think it makes a difference. This light is rated at 30,000 lumens but doesn’t seem that much brighter than my other fishing light that is only rated at 10,000 lumens. However, this light is more efficient – it gets more light for less current, so the batteries will last longer. The only criticism I have is the alligator clips seem larger than what the individual conductor wires would support. There is no meaningful way to add any support [e.g. shrink tubing] afterwards, so one will just have to be careful. I merely mention this so be aware – I don’t think it should reduce the rating. The price at the time of this review is $50, which is a very good price for the amount of light.

I used this light for a few times for night fishing. It is very bright and can sink quickly, the cord is about 16 feet and is enough for most of the fishing scenarios. The seal seems good, and no sign for leaking yet. the clips seem a little flimsy, which is made with very thin metal. I used it a couple times for saltwater fishing, the clips have already got rusted. And I will probably have to replace the clips with some better quality ones.

Turning it on when it's on land and looking right at it you get that retina burn. This thing is a very intense green.Dropped this in about 3 feet of water to test. There's some air in it so it always points up but it sinks right to the bottom pretty quick. The water is cold and muddy right now, from a lot of recent rain, so I wasn't able to test its fish drawing abilities but why wouldn't it work? The principles and practices of using lights to attract fish at night is very well known and is even used in primitive societies.I left the unit in the water for about 5 minutes and when I pulled it out I could detect no leaks, so all good. Even with the muddy water I was blown away by the amount of illumination this thing was putting out - excellent! This is a very cool item that I guess is sort of a niche item but if you have a need for this type of thing - recommended.

I don't know why, but fish large and small are atracted to this green underwater light. The seem to all swim around the light in a circular pattern and it provide great viewing at night in shallow water. My light is less than 4 feet deep -- and BRIGHT. I've seen bigger fish in the light than I have ever caught in that same spot.

This is a great light with a long cord and easy to use clamps. I got this in the fall and haven’t used it on the lake yet, but it is bright at the house testing it. Good quality and will surely help catch fish.
