These seemed like a gimmick, I wasn't sure how well they would work, but I took a chance on them. I'm glad I did, because these are the best ice trays I've ever used.You fill them up halfway with water, and then squeeze out the excess water, and then put them in your freezer.After it's frozen, you run it under warm water for several seconds, and then all of the ice easily pops out. I've used these for a while and I've never had any issues. It's much more convenient than a normal ice tray.A single cylinder gives you about half a cup of ice, which is perfect for one person. And I really like that they are mini ice cubes, I prefer them over the large ice cubes.And they're dishwasher safe, so they're very easy to clean. I keep 6 cylinders in my freezer, and just rotate them out as needed. They're small, so they don't take up a lot of space.

The Mini Ice Cylinder - Squeeze & Release is very useful addition to any kitchen or outdoor gear. Once again Tovolo "crushes" it in ice molds. This easy-to-use device makes tiny ice cubes about the size of frozen diced carrots. Fill to the line and freeze, then just fill with warm water for 30 seconds, pull the center out with a twist, and wring out the silicone sleeve to dispense the tiny cubes. The cubes emerge nicely formed with sharp angles, mostly cubic, and store well in the freezer (I keep mine in a slide-zip bag where they are easy to shake up so they don't stick together).When stored vertically as recommended the fitted cylinder doesn't leak at all, and even on its side (which is not recommended by the manufacturer) only deforms slightly and leaks a few tablespoons with the overflow holes up. This cylindrical shape reportedly also spills less than than the same manufacturer's flat, covered tray. The silicone and plastic materials are manufacturer-certified BPA-free and dishwasher safe, and after washing mine I found them completely free from any residue. Even a thorough test evaporating melted ice found that the ice was perfectly clean and clear. The only complaint I have is that the "fill line" could be made a little more prominent.

These are perfect for a dorm room or office mini fridge! Well made, easy to clean. Short enough for mini fridge but a good volume of ice for several drinks.

I recently purchased the Tovolo Mini Ice Cylinder - Squeeze & Release set, and I couldn't be more thrilled! These ice makers are incredibly convenient and efficient. The small ice pieces they produce are absolutely amazing – perfect for chilling drinks quickly and fitting neatly into water bottles and smaller glasses. The design is sleek and modern, and the set of two ensures I always have enough ice on hand. Plus, the easy squeeze-and-release feature makes it a breeze to use. The only negative I would mention (and this is more because my family is just as obsessed and they always beat me to it) is that even with two of these, we never have enough in our household. It’s always gone before I can get my hands on them! This is an issue with myself and my family. Not with the design or anything. Overall, I highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade their ice game!

These ice trays are wonderful super easy to get ice out of the container I like that with very little warm water I can get it out super easy now I can enjoy ice without having to break my nails using the old topical hard plastic ice tray definitely worth the money it’s super easy to fill up no more mess I love the shaped because it doesn’t requires too much space in the freezer also the material its durable ✨
