I love how easily you can expand by plugging this in and configuring the drives. You don't even have to power down the main unit.

Upgraded from the 918+ to the 2421+, so I had an extra 9 drives laying around. Spent my bonus on this expansion, because weird, and tossed in the drives. Had a bit of a scare because it didn't come online right away, but after rebooting the main unit, it was fine. My only gripe is that it is quite a bit longer in the back, about 8 or so inches (and this aint grindr), than the main unit and my rack is only 18" deep, so that's a bit annoying, but I'll deal.
