Really love this blanket. Wife and I use it constantly to wrap around our legs while riding in the car. Instructions say to unplug the blanket while not in use, and I can understand from a safety perspective this is best, but using the controller, it is possible to just turn it off and leave it plugged in and it will not drain your car battery. When switched to high it takes less than 60 seconds to start feeling little warmth, but then by 3 minutes, it's nice and toasty. It never gets downright HOT, as it is only 12v power, but you can definitely feel the warmth through your clothes. It's also great just to put on a cold seat so you have something warm for your butt instead of a cold car seat.
