Don’t believe the 5 star bought reviews…I ordered two of these with no expectations of a miracle but the expectation of some sort of change. I installed one and tested the water after 5+ minutes and to my surprise the results showed no difference at all. I tested the ppm and uS/cm of the water coming from the tub fill line and off the shower head where the so called “20 stage filter” was installed.I let the water run another 10 minutes and no change so I thought maybe I had the filter in the wrong way. After flipping it and repeating the process the results were always the same as the tub fill line. I then changed the filter with the extra one this item comes with and repeated all the steps above and to no surprise at that point, the results all showed the same.I will be taking the water samples to work to test on a high end conductivity probe to see if maybe it is my cheap tester.

I have very light blonde hair and moved to a different city two years ago. Since that time, the condition of my hair has drastically deteriorated. It became extremely dry and brittle with visible split ends. I used to have to wash my hair every day but now only wash it every other or second day because it was so dry. I finally thought it could be the water especially when my neighbor had the same complaints. I just received this shower filter and tried it today. For the first time in a long time, my hair felt soft and manageable after showering no matter how many deep conditioning treatment I tried. It was definitely a noticeable difference. It’s only day one, but if it continues like this, I will be extremely happy. I highly recommend.

So in our area, the water leaves behind calcium scale as well as a orange residue and tends to turn shower heads green, this product eliminates all that which means that you're not getting any of that gross stuff on you when you shower and you can literally feel it!We now have soft water like in a fancy hotel, the soap lathers about four times as much as before and the water literally feels soft because the calcium, minerals and pollutants have been removed so you don't feel them smacking into your skin.I always wanted soft water but those soft water systems are a lot of work to keep running and are way out of my price range. Now I finally have it!I chose this unit because it comes with a lot of extra filters for free and it not only filters the water but adds minerals into it that are actually good for your skin and hair and it filters it several stages better than other comparably priced filters
