We used it with Senco 1/4 inch long staples. Great for our recovering project. No problems putting the staples into the hard plywood back and seat material. Long enough nose to get into the slot on the chair backs. Remember upholstery staplers don't have a safety!

The Senco SFT10XP F *** ONLY *** accepts 13mm wide stales which are the Senco brand F04BAAN, F05BAAP, F06BAA, F06BGA, F08BAAN and VERY FEW OTHERS. If you look at the majority of the 1/2-inch crown fine wire 20 Ga. staples available, you will see that they are NOT 13mm wide but instead are about 12.3mm to 12.7mm wide. The problem is that the Senco SFT10XP F 1/2-inch crown stapler has a metal track that the staples sit on and allow it to advance, and that metal rail is made for 13mm wide staples and any staple that is narrower than 13mm will not slide on that rail and will get jammed so the staples cannot advance. The cost of the stapler is not cheap and the cost of the Senco staples are not cheap so if you want a well-made very good stapler that can ONLY use 13mm wide 20 Ga. staples then go for it BUT if you want something that will be able to use the lower cost staples 1/2-inch crown 20 Ga. then look for ones that will accept the more common 12.3-12.7mm wide staples and save a lot of money on both the stapler and the staples!

I own several Senco nail guns. Some are over 20 years old. I use them to make furniture. I purchased the staple gun to stretch canvas for art work. The stapler worked fine. Will use it to do some furniture work.
