No metal sleeve in the eye of the cable! There picture shows a sleeve. Can’t imagine it will last long. Not worth driving to UPS store to return. Won’t ever buy SeaSense product again. Highly doubt the 2000 lb claim is a lift rating. Probably cable break strength. Should have spent a bit and got a quality product. $10 wasted.
