Rock Band Guitar - Wired

I bought this a while ago but it still works today perfectly. It came fast and in very good condition. I like that it's wired because I hate buying batteries or picking up a guitar only to find out that it's on low. I'm lazy and this works for me and my fiancee when she wants to play.

Most everything on this controller works but the blue small button the the "solo fretboard" gets stuck and will mess you up mid song. These guitars are old and when i took it apart i could see 1 small piece of plastic was broken. Could be easily overlooked as i had to take it all the way apart to its bones. It is still usable and shreds too much.

It's a very good controller. It's a beautiful guitar controller, looking a lot like the real Fender Stratocaster, just a bit smaller and lighter, of course. But wait: don't compare it to a true guitar - it's still a kind of toy, made of plastic and not rare wood and steel as the real thing. Anyway, it has a good construction quality.One interesting characteristic is its usb cable splits in two separate parts: the shorter one, closer to Xbox usb port, is connected to the longer one by a kind of round connector. If the guitar is pulled too much far from the console, this round connector unplugs avoiding to have the Xbox being pulled in a probably fatal shut from any place it used to stay.Control buttons are quite precise, I saw no problems with them.

I bought this guitar because I didn't want to shell out for the wireless one (which costs about twice as much). Well, as I found out the hard way, you get what you pay for. The fret buttons wear out VERY quickly on this guitar; after only a few months, they've begun to stick. The flipper doesn't feel very solid, either. It's very soft on either end of the strum, and just pales in comparison to the wireless version. Rocking the guitar to activate overdrive also is very flaky.This controller also lacks many of the niceties of the wireless version, such as automatic calibration, a rim around the start button (so you don't accidentally hit it when trying to activate overdrive), the obvious tetherless play, and much better quality overall. This guitar was a disappointment, so buy the wireless version unless you absolutely can't afford it.

When I first bought this guitar it would not work. But i contacted the seller and they replaced it immediately. Now it works greats and we play with it all the time!

I've used this guitar for a few minutes, and even though it doesn't work with Guitar Hero 3, it still works. The buttons respond perfectly, and so does the whammy bar. The strum bar takes a little bit of effort to work, like strumming harder. I should also mention the fact that the second set of fret buttons require you to press down pretty hard. Oh yeah, and the tilt function doesn't work. Also, I'm not very good with it, because I haven't played with a guitar like this in years, but regardless, I'm happy with the order. I can now use it to bring back some good memories, so thank you for providing this

To begin with, I will say that this item is great. I've used several of my friends', and I love the original Rock Band guitar and its wired feature.However, the item I ordered from Amazon is not great. I was very excited to receive it in the mail, which did come much quicker than I could have hoped for. I appreciate that.Shortly after playing the guitar through a song or two, I saw that the guitar didn't kick into Overdrive nearly as easily as the others I had played. Usually a swing of the guitar upwards initiates Overdrive immediately, but I had to hold the guitar up at that odd angle for fifteen to twenty seconds, and even that didn't necessarily work. If not, my attempts looked like I was doing stretching exercises in preparation for a track meet. This wasn't too bothersome at first, but once I ranked up into higher difficulties of songs, this fault became a serious problem, causing me to make many mistakes that I would not have otherwise. I realized that it would be impossible for me to earn many of the Rock Band Xbox achievements, which was honestly my main reason for buying the game.Not only is Overdrive almost impossibly difficult, but my friend discovered that the strum bar is pretty faulty also as far as moving it upwards. I don't strum upwards, but it was very annoying to my friend, who relies on playing this way. I will admit it makes using the menu quite bothersome.Overall, I'm disappointed in the performance of this Amazon product. I haven't decided if I'll follow the typical Amazon refund process, but if I do I won't get a full refund. My only consolation is that I bought the guitar for a cheap price in comparison to the others I have seen.

the guitar came very quickly after i ordered it. it requires some assembly that takes of about 12 seconds. i bought this for my nephews and they have a blast playing rock band but the guitar itself has a few problems. i bought the wired because i have had a few bad experiences with wireless (guitar hero)controllers. so i figured I'd go retro and but the good old fashion wired one for Rockband. the USB connection can be very very picky about being in the perfect position when connected to my Xbox 360. you have to sit down right in front of the Xbox and fiddle with the USB port on the guitar for up to 10 mins before you can play. I've gotten very good at getting it to work fairly quickly now but in hind-sight i wish i would have spent the little extra money and bought the wireless one.

Very very good. Obviously used tho and a very ugly rockstar sticker is slapped onto the body of the guitar. And the strum button is working (but doesnt make that satisfying clicking noise haha) im very impressed with this product and happy with what i bought
