Mainly a question - I've been using air nailers for years and wanted a battery 23-g tool - already owned plenty of Rigid tools and many batteries so a 'cheaper' bare tool interested me; decided on this nailer but noticed that the no-mar pad (the little orange tip) would not allow the nail to be set below the surface unless adjusted to the lowest level and/or removed - the latter seems the best choice in my testing but marring is an issue, especially in soft woods - other comments? Plus, I assume there is no danger not using this attachment - thanks.
