This spinner is lightweight. I mostly use it for rinsing herbs from the garden as well as small batches of lettuce. You have to spin it a little longer than a faster one I have with a lid, but this one is so quick and easy that a child can use it (and does for strawberries and grapes).Save water by swishing/wiping the items in a bowl full of water, then pour the whole bowl through this colander. Spinning them dry saves paper towels too.The handle turns horizontal and slides into the colander for storage. It stacks easily inside my mixing bowls, and I can nest smaller bowls or items inside, underneath the handle. Space saver!

My daughter uses this salad spinner frequently for all the lettuce we use on our sandwiches. Yes, she does set it in the sink to use for convenience. It works well to spin the excess moisture off after rinsing items. It certainly saves on paper towel dabbing. I'm not sure that I would advertise it as a large capacity, but it definitely has been working well for our meals created for 2 to 4 people. It has been a great addition to our kitchen tools and we love how it gets all the moisture off items after rinsing.

Overall, this thing is disappointing unless it works. It's got a small bowl so you can use it for smaller meal prep. It spins fast, so in theory you can get a lot of water off whatever you wash. The slats are not ideal and weirdly don't let all the water escape like my old as heck Ikea spinner. That thing is about 10 years old and always shows up for work.The biggest issue is that the track on the spinner keeps popping loose, so pushing down on the spinner does nothing. This happens a lot. When it works, it works okay. Most of the time, I want to toss it in the trash.

This is a great functional colander with some bonus features not found on the typical ones most people already have in their kitchens. First, the double locking system is genius and allows you to hold the colander in typical scoop fashion or move it to the other locked area and spin the colander through a pumping action of the handle. Second, the color scheme and simple design makes it easy to clean after use.I would make sure your sink is deep enough to contain splashed water during the spin cycle as the colander is somewhat higher than the average one and some water splashing can occur across countertop if you're not careful.Overall, this is a great colander if you typically consume lots of fruits, vegetables, and pasta.

For spinning lettuce it’s a little on the small side but a more ideal size as a strainer/colander. It’s a little tricky to get a good spin, takes some practice to get momentum going and even then it only does a fair job at airing out lettuce. I do wish the basket part was a little bit bigger for drying salad; it doesn’t hold very much salad. It has a clever design but doesn’t feel especially sturdy, not sure how long this will last. Overall, great strainer, but only a fair to decent salad dryer.

Slides all over in the sink..catches my fingers when pushing down...put it on the counter when done and it rolled off to the floor with my lettuce! returning this crap a.s.a.p don't buy!

I was a little worried that stuff would escape from this colander, but the sides do in fact come up to vertical, so as long as your produce isn't smaller than the handle notch (about cherry tomato sized), and you don't overfill it, it's not an issue.The colander has some issues. First, it's not actually "large". Only about three quarts to the rim (and, you don't want to overfill it). Second, you'll need a deep sink to use it in, or a deep bowl that fits it.It does go through the dishwasher without complaining (you may need to empty out the handle), and it can be taken apart with a screwdriver for deeper cleaning.If this came with a larger deeper bowl it would be a a great set.

While I'm not much of a 'kitchen gadget' person, this salad spinner is high on my list of useful products. What I love is that it's not so big and bulky to store. It's compact and spins the lettuce or berries perfectly...nice and dry and ready to serve. I did wish there were some instructions included as it was a bit confusing as to how this works exactly, but only for a few minutes until I had all the parts lined up correctly. This really has become my new favorite kitchen item and I actually enjoy making fresh salads now!

Cette passoire essoreuse est super pratique et 2 en 1, idéale quand on a pas beaucoup de place dans la cuisine. Elle se range facilement et est solide, simple d'utilisation. De plus, livraison rapide est soignée. Je recommande !
