Solid. Heavy. Great for hitting big tires.Ist shipment was lost in transit. Easy communication thru Amazon w company. Shipped 2nd very fast. Not sure how transit company lost a 20 lb sledgehammer, but it happens I guess. No fault of the company.

It looks really good sitting on the corner of my room as I never use it because I hurt my shoulder. But it looks nice though Bill quality is good and it's a good value for money

First I want to point out that it's a "fitness " hammer. If you are planning on building a fence this might not be your best choice. For fitness it is wonderful. I have used a regular sledge hammer for years and this one is vastly superior in every way. It's easier to grip and has a nice weighted balance to it. Overall quality feels top notch. It arrived in perfect condition. Would highly recommend it if you are looking for a sledge hammer to improve fitness and strength. Only point of concern is if you work out in the rain, sleet and snow the hammer gets wet and it gets very slippery. You have to take extra care when it's wet or it will get away from you.

Ill be honest I just wanted to buy a big hammer, this was 30lb and way less price and more weight than anyone else. the head is welded to the hollow metal handle, thought I have serious suspect that weld can hold up to serious swings on anything more than a rubber tire. Still i love just having a 30lb hammer like a real dwarf

After I purchased this fitness hammer, I also bought a 10lb. macebell from Retrospec. With both purchases, I wanted to practice, and perfect, doing one-handed types of macebell 360s with them. Both have worked great for me, and now, I can do both with no problem. One of the things I have enjoyed about the 10lb. Philosophy Gym Fitness Hammer is that it has a diferent sort of shape from my macebells, with a sledge hammer head to it, rather than a round one. There's nothing at all wrong with my macebells, it's just that doing 360s with a hammer is an entirely differect animal. The weight distribution is different so I have to have that constantly in the back of my mind as I swing it, and adjust, accordingly, so I don't hit myself, accidently. Both are fun to exercise with and will hopefully make it easier for me to work towards doing one-hand 360s with my 15lb. macebell. High;y recommended and I will probably also get the 15lb one in the near future!

Want a fun way to work out? Want some upper body strength? Wanna feel like a warrior wielding a war-hammer? Well, invest in a fitness hammer. Smack a tree around. Smack a tire around. Smash a rock. Smash something. Regardless, it’s still staying strong, sturdy, and still comfy. Grip might be a lil rough but you get used to it, and if you still don’t like it then you might as well just wrap it up. In terms of looks, it looks good and feels good in the hands. A worthwhile investment if you’re looking for a change in fitness
