This product also fits the old Sta-Rite Posi Clear RP 150 filter system, which is what I have. It was a perfect fit! Hoping to save others the endless time I spent online finding this out. Seller referred me to Pentair when asked this question. Pentair originally gave me the wrong part number, luckily I discovered that and had to call them back to confirm the correct part number. Item arrived well protected, but buyer beware, seller has a disclaimer on the box stating item was fully inspected before shipping and if item arrives damaged you need to go after the shipper. Mine arrived with a puncture hole in the box, but absolutely no damage. The round support ring was very well protected by a cardboard like box around it. Product price was much cheaper than any local pool stores. I would buy again from this vendor.

Filter changing and cleaning had become a pain with my 14 year old system. The center core always came apart when I took the filter out,making it difficult to replace the filter. The bottom section of the core got stuck and required a crow bar to remove it.None of that happens with the new core.

My pool maintenance company apparently broke the core on my Pentair Clean & Clear 200 due to rough handling when removing, cleaning, and replacing the filter. This was a perfect fit and a fraction of the price the maintenance company wanted to charge me (when they broke it). It was a bit difficult to get base out of the filter housing, but there's no clips or anything really holding it in, so you just have to figure out a way to pry or bang it out. I ended up using a tire iron, which allowed me to pry/bang it free. Once you get over the fear of damaging the housing, it's not terribly difficult to remove. Make sure you install the new one in the correct position in the housing. The top of the core has an alignment arrow that is supposed to line up with the plumbing inlet. There are a couple of YouTube how-to's for this project.

My old piece broke, and I ordered this one as a replacement. It fit perfectly. It was super easy to install. It’s been a couple of months and no problems so far!

Product came 5 days early. I had a problem getting the bottom part out of the tank, but thanks to DK, Tom McQ, Dan S, Daryl Burke, Marsh P and amazon customer, I was able to pry it up from the bottom. What also helped was looking at the new core so I could see what I was dealing with. Then I hooked it from the bottom and pulled it a little at a time, repositioning all the way around. It came out! So thankful for all the helpful advice. Couldn't have done it without you!
