This cage is great with some modifications.I added a piece of wood in the back for the gap and some clear panels around the bottom front so the bedding Doesn’t fall out. It’s cheaply made imo but it works fantastic and does look pretty when done!My hamster loves it!!

Very good size for the price, one of the more budget friendly large cages, very easy assembly. It didn’t have screw holes but the wood is soft enough to have not needed them when putting it together. Because of that I wouldn’t really recommend this cage for a Syrian hamster because they could easily chew through the soft wood but it’s the perfect cage for dwarfs. You absolutely MUST seal the cage with nontoxic waterproof sealer because the wood is raw and uncoated (if not you risk pee seeping into the wood and causing unwanted smells) I highly recommend taking out the shelves and using them to make your own platforms by cutting them and attaching dowels, this way you can put the bedding at whatever height you desire.

I want to start by saying that this cage is HUGE! I really do love that it gives my hamster soo much room to explore. It was packaged well, and even delivered 3 days early. It was easy to put together and set up.Now for the bad. Im not even one week in and my currious cats have already started busting out the hardwire cloth at the top. Luckily they are more interested in watching my hamster than they are in having an appetizer snack, so she is still alive. If your cats are more snacky than currious you may not get as lucky as I did. Im also super surprised the hamster didn't try to make a late night jail break from the sizeable hole that was left. Between the extra work I will be putting in to making the lid cat proof, and the extra modifications we had to do to give things more regidity, I will end up being almost $250 out of pocket for this setup. One of the reasons I chosee this one over some of the higher rated big cages was for the pricepoint. From here though, I would have been better off spending the same $250 on a nicer quality cage to begin with.Long story short, if you don't mind putting extra money into modifications to fix things like the shelves not being sturdy, and dont have currious pets that may sit on the top of the cage, this isnt a terrible choice. If you aren't in that ategory, you may be better off taking the extra $100 your going to spend getting this thing solid, and spending it on a better cage to start with.

This product came damaged. I had to sand down many pieces of wood due to jagged and sharp edges. The chicken wire on the top came unattached last night (I’ve had this for just over a month now) and my hammy got out. Thankfully we got him back in safely. This cage is a great size but ultimately the quality is low.

My Syrian hamster chewed her hole the first 3 weeks we had her and when we went to deep clean it, her project was near the size of her. Had to throw it away and spend money on a 75gallon tank the very next day.

so a few weeks ago i bought this for my hamster and he seems to love it, HOWEVER it is hard to assemble and the mesh feels cheap same with the wood however my hamster has been much happier with this cage.

Instructions are clear and easy. I only gave it 4 stars because a nail in it already was broke a bit so it doesn’t sit flesh like it does in the other side
