I like this mixing fork alot. It's incredibly sturdy and I don't feel like I have to be careful with it. It lays flat in my drawers. It makes quick work of cutting butter/shortening into flour. I highly recommend this item.

Great step up from plastic handle blending forks that break. Also has many other uses as a severing fork and turning large food items. Great item for the price. Very pleased.

It's a little bigger than I thought it would be but very sturdy and useful for just about anything.

Patelai jumbo forkThis fork is fairly heavy and sturdy, and I expect it would be quite durable. I purchased this based on reviews for blending pastry. The main attraction was for the long handle with the contoured end. That feature is accurate, it is very comfortable to hold. Although the handle is somewhat longer than ideal, the contoured end fits nicely against the side of the hand. The problem which makes this awkward for pastry blending is the business end of the fork. The 'bowl' of the fork, between handle and tines, is fairly long; the angle of the handle and bowl is the only curved part, aside from the nicely contoured handle tip. The actual tines are perfectly flat. The tines are also rather wide. In my opinion, this is better for a serving fork or carving fork than for pastry cutting and blending. The wide tines could also be good for mashing soft foods, maybe for baby food, except I think a curve would be more functional than the perfectly flat tines on this fork.I thought someone had posted about rotating the tines about 45°, and they found it helped with pastry blending. I could see how that would be more like my stirrup shaped pastry blender, especially if the tines could be evenly curved as well. But I don't know how to do that without potentially wrecking the utensil.I have another fork by RSVP which could benefit from the nicely contoured handle and maybe another half inch length, but the tines are slender and nicely curved. The RSVP fork is much easier to work the pastry dough, after two of us tested each of these on two batches of biscuits. In the photos, the largest fork is this Patelai jumbo fork. Next to it is the RSVP blending fork. The smallest fork is a standard dinner fork, for comparison.

Great way to make spaghetti. It keeps my hand away from the boiling water and steam when stirring the noodles. I only gave a four on "Easy to hold" because the steam makes the fork slippery.
