this doesn’t fit because of the way they bent the bar. so the seat does t get to close all the way. the only good thing about this backrest is that the cushion is actually softer than the one i was replacing it for. it’s also too thick to use a rider seat or cargo rack. will be returning.2022 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT

It's really more scooter sized but it works out on my motorcycle! Just enough to give my back a stretch.

I bought this to go on my 2022 Honda Rebel 1100. I'm giving it 3 stars because it works but requires modifications.I got this as a cheap option for a backrest. I wasn't expecting it to be perfect and was ok with it possibly not working because of the price. I tried to install it as it came and realized I would have to either drill a hole in my fender or in the bracket on the seat. I chose the bracket because again, it was cheap and I was ok with it not working.I drilled a new hole closer to the bend so I could push it up further. Otherwise, it won't let you latch the seat back in place. This modification worked great. If you choose this option, be sure to leave enough room for the included bolt to seat properly. After I got it bolted in place, I noticed it sits very far forward. I bent it backwards enough until I was satisfied with the sitting angle. The metal bracket is strong enough it won't break, but still able to bend enough to get the seat just right. After those 2 modifications, the seat worked great. This was a perfect compromise to having a backrest without breaking the bank. Again, 3 stars because it can work, but had to deduct 2 stars because you have to make modifications either way.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS FOR THE REBEL 1100Unless you are willing to jerry-rig it to work..Now I don't know about the 300 or 500 Rebels, but the bolt/thread for the passenger seat on the 1100 is under the riders tailbone.. The bend in the bracket for this backrest is bent at the wrong 90° angle. It points the mounting point toward the rear of the bike, when the only possible place to mount it would be under the bar/frame of the riders seat, where the passenger seat bolt goes.Again, it is impossible to mount this backrest as it's depicted in the images on this page.

This does not work at all on the 1100. I would have to be half laying down to even have it touch my back.
