My father in law got me a guirafor many moons ago. I never had a scraper for this type of guira. I had some for Puerto Rican guiro, and for Cuban guiro, but not for a Dominican guira. I showed it to my good friend who's a professional percussionist and he loved it. And so did I! I'm about to purchase another one to keep at home to practice and leave one for the rest of my equipment at church to play with the choir. I recommend it to everyone!

Excellent Guiro scraper made with hardwood and high quality metal wires. This scraper is the best option for metal guiros as well as natural and wood ones, with separated grooves, like the ones made for merengue, salsa and bachata rhythms.

Good scraper compared to many others. Quite heavy though and sadly enough starts losing its needles after a month (also as many others). For the price I paid I had expected it would last longer.
