One surface features large raised grooves, similar to the Cuban guiro, while the other has a fingers texture. With the unique fill cap, you can modify the amount of fill material to change the shaker sound. As a shaker or a guiro, the LP multi-guiro produces bright, projecting sounds in any musical situation. The LP Torpedo Scraper is also included.

This shaker is great. It has a nice loud and bright sound as a shaker. I have also been able to use the two different scrapers when I play.

This instrument is pretty decent. It has a nice, crisp, sound, and is pretty handy for shakes and 2 different types of scrapes. The only thing that I didn't like is that since they made it to where there is 2 different sides, there is no handle. This causes your hands to cramp after a couple of minutes. Also, since the guiro isn't hollow, it doesn't give it that sound like in bachata or merengue music. This instrument does sound pretty good for its price, and also goes well with some types of cumbias, especially cumbia colombianas and sonideros. If you are more experienced or are going to play in a band, I would recommend upgrading to a more expensive but better guiro.

I purchased the item as a gift and one would hate to disappoint someone on any special day. This item delivered!!!!! Great quality, solid, came with all the accessories that were mentioned and shipped in top notch condition. Not only was the "special person" who recieved the gift happy, I was just as thrilled to give them an incredible gift. I have owned many of these shakers (same brand and model) and this one is fantastic as well. Ordered this one as mine was stolen off the stage on break (i guess someone else knew how good it was too)One caution is to avoid getting it wet as it will rust the metal bebes inside and it will shoot rust out every time you play it.

I have bought a few different kinds of shakers recently and I havent always been pleased...one was too quiet and the other (believe it or not) you couldnt shake in time...i think it's too light or something and it won't groove. This one, however, is a nice strong sound, and can groove...My complaint is that it's kind of heavy and my arm gets tired...you can't have it all....The guiro sounds good but I prefer the sound of the lightwieght merengue ones, its crisper...

Venia con un raspón muy notable en una de las partes laterales del güiro, es pequeño, así que al rasparlo hay que tener mucho control en la mano. Lo he visto muy barato últimamente y me disgusta porque yo lo compré muy caro.

I needed a guiro which was also a shaker and this instrument does exactly what I wanted. It is a good guiro with 2 types of scraper, but it is also an excellent shaker with great feel and volume.
