This camera cover works great. Basically turn on your camera on your device, and use that to confirm that you're applying the cover to the right spot on your laptop/phone. I have heard of these quite a bit for privacy, and didn't consider using them on your phone. I use cases on my phone, so I'm not sure where I'd attach them, but if you have a lighter case, I can see how they'd work on the phone as well.These covers are great to prevent someone from using your computer's camera to get information on you, especially if they can get access to your device remotely. It's important to use them as regular protection, regardless of whether or not you're using your camera.This comes with six covers, three small, and three slightly larger (which seems perfect for phones), and they're thin but slide well. Using them doesn't prevent you from closing your laptop or using your phone.
