The Kohler overflow plate was a perfect solution to hiding an ugly rust covered overflow hole.My 90+year old Dad's 1968 house has a half bath sink with a rust covered overflow hole. It really bugged him. Replacing the sink/vanity was not financially feasible. He thought the sink was a Kohler. I found this part and it fit, as well as covered most of the rust around the overflow hole. We used a little Quakehold Museum wax on the backside, center top and bottom to ensure a snug fit.Dad did a little cleanup around the hole and painted it. I know the fix it rough, but it keeps him young doing DIY around the house. When you stand above the sink, you cannot see the fix, only the top of the pretty shiny Kohler overflow cover plate.

Exactly the same as the original one we had in the sink. Fit like a charm. Also I think it’s inexpensive to replace. Got it fast to make sure the bathroom still had its original charm.
