Both of these ponchos come in their own little bags so they can stay sealed up small in a purse, backpack, or “go bag” in a trunk for when needed. I like that these have heat insulated lining so they can be useful all times of year including winter when you may be stranded in a snowbank on the side of a road for 6+ hours in a storm or if your power goes out and you need more heat retention than just a couple blankets per person can provide. The orange color is also useful in case your car breaks down at night or in a bad storm and you need to wear a bright color for other motorists to avoid hitting you while you walk to get help. I own a few other emergency disposable plastic ponchos for flash storms that occur when hiking, but I will be putting these ponchos in my car and “go bag” for road and winter emergencies. Great products.

I hope I never have to use these but I'm glad I've got them! I put them in my glove box, ready to use in an emergency. While the thin mylar blankets are great for keeping warm, they can't be used as a coat. This little poncho can work as both. If I have to use one and need to change my rating, I'll come back and adjust as needed.

I received this set of two ponchos through the Amazon Vine Voice program.This is my second or third time reviewing products from this company, and I have to say each product has been awesome, well designed, and worth the asking price.For this poncho, the quality is definitely there so you can/will get multiple uses from this. Also, the poncho is really for when you are in a situation where you need to stay warm & dry plus be mobile, which is slightly different than if you were using a bivy and staying still - in one spot or needing complete encapsulation. Although, if you are building a safety bag for your car, I recommend having both the poncho and the bivy sack.Anyhow, this is a great item, and at $20.00 per poncho, you'll be glad you spent the money if you ever have to or need to use it. It's so small and lightweight that there's no reason not to have it in your vehicle or a travel, hiking, or hunting bag.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and durability of the ponchos. They are made out of a highly reflective material which helped keep me warm during cold nights. It also kept me visible during the night with the reflective side of the poncho. The ponchos were also waterproof and wind resistant, which came in handy during several unexpected rain storms. In addition to the protection from the elements, the ponchos were also light weight and compact, making it easy to store and transport. I am very pleased with my purchase of the Prepared Hero Hero Poncho 2 Pack, I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a great emergency poncho.

The inside is aluminized as expected for a heat-reflective garment. The hood is full enough to pull well out over your face or the brim of a hat.I've had lightweight ponchos that would rip and tear in a stiff wind, but the material of this one is heavy enough that it ought to be okay. The poncho should indeed be reusable a number of times, although the closure below the arm holes might tear under stress.I was pleased, and a little bit surprised, that I was able to roll it up and get it back into its stuff sack. That also speaks well for the idea that it can be re-used.Only downside I see is that it's loose (well, of course: it's a poncho), so any wind will go right up into it. To conserve body heat in an emergency, you'd need to get out of the wind.

Having these in my car make me feel so safe. As soon as you put one on, you can feel your body heat start reflecting back on you, and the fact that it's such a bright orange-red assures me that I can be clearly seen in an emergency.These ponchos got my full five-star rating because they actually fit my plus-size body, a women's size 2X, and there is plenty of room to spare. So many of these types of ponchos are too tight for me, so I was very happy to see the roominess in these.Last, they are easy to roll back up and stuff back into the little pouch that they came in. It's not a case of the mysterious expanding poncho that will never fit back in the pouch, as is true with many other ponchos. Good heat retention, easy to be seen, roomy, and easy to store--all the reasons that these get five stars in my book.

The 2 pack is very lightweight to carry and compact. It is the perfect size to keep in your car, rv, boat, bike or backpack. It’s perfect for hiking, camping etc and the small size and light weight mean you are prepared for emergencies but not burdened with bringing it. I highly recommend it be part of your first aid/emergency kits.
