Great product. We changed out the basketball net for something brighter. Did take a while to fill with sand, but definitely stays in place.

Product arrived VERY quickly and was in perfect condition.Kids were able to assemble with a little adult assistance. Looks to be well made and is as described though some of the galvanised steel components appears to be zinc plated. Will see how the steel lasts before rusting - we have a salt chlorinated pool so doubly problematic as regards rust.Has had a vigorous workout in the first few days and has survived 100% intact :)Update to my original post.In only 2 months the hoop has rusted/corroded to such and extent that it has broken away from the spring mount. The water has got inside the hoop tube and rusted the weld. The weld was never going to last very long as is a very thin edge weld with no reinforcing. I would NOT recommend this product and have downgraded to 1 star.

Have had the goal for about a month and the glass is pulling away from the board. It had a great look around the pool when placed. I just don’t feel it’s going to make it the entire year. Also it came with two nets and I don’t think the spacing is correct. Both nets the keep getting stuck between the net. Easy to assemble and the look is great.

Just finished assembling this basketball goal. First, the complaints; the instructions could have been better but then what else is new. Confusing assembly instructions permitted me to put the entire unit together before realizing that I had one piece remaining that I had not seen mentioned in the assembly instructions. Upon going back and perusing the instructions to see where I missed using this leftover piece, I still could not find any mention of where it goes. Finally, I noticed in one of the diagrams a very small illustration showing where it was supposed to be used. Fortunately, I did not think it was vital enough to the performance of the backboard to require disassembly and elected to not tear the entire rim and backboard apart just to insert it where it was supposed to be used. In the website specifications it states "No tools required". This is a joke! You MUST use two wrenches (1/2 ") adjustable or otherwise in order to sufficiently tighten all the nuts and bolts. That is unless you are Superman and can do it with your fingers! Finally, it would have been nice if they had included a rubberized basketball with the goal. Gee, it's so much fun to have a pool basketball goal but no ball to play with. Fortunately, I still had the one from my previous pool basketball goal. Now the good points--seems to be well-made for the money and other than the aforementioned confusing assembly instructions, proved to be relatively easy to put together; you just have to be careful when reading the directions. The colors are nice too.

The basketball hoop seemed to be well designed and well put together. After two days of use, the backboard had become unglued from the frame and only has 4 plastics rivets holding it on. I do hope that this was a fluke and that Franklin products are better built in the future

I’ve had atleast three pool basketball hoops. The majority have been less expensive than this one but the last one was around this price point. They have all failed after one pool season.This one is Affordable, smaller than other options, and will still be able to work next summer!! It was pretty easy to assemble, but like I said we’ve built a few of these before and it’s basically the same. They did say no tools required but if you want to assemble it right this is very inaccurate. Use tools and build securely! It fills up easily for stabilizing with sand. Says it holds 112 pounds. It has never fallen on anyone but they haven’t hung on it (not recommending hanging on it as I’m sure that’ll tip it into the water and good luck getting it out).Side note: it does NOT include a basketball! Be sure you have one or get one!Overall, I would say for the price it is pretty decent. Obviously if you want “better” then you should spend more but this one was good enough for our family. It is suppose to be a fun game not a competitive sport so it’s good enough. It has not rusted for us but we take care of it. Putting it away for rains, cleaning it off weekly. If you take care of it properly I think it would definitely last a few seasons. I’d recommend it.

Proper size net, backboard, and base.Fill it with water, and it is stable enough for real size basketballs. Great fun for 2 summer's in a row now.

Used by my boys for a week and the rim is bending - wondering if/when the weld will snap?!UPDATE: Franklin company was great - sent me a replacement rim - just hope it holds up.
