I'm using these for a Lelit and La Pavoni. As far as I can tell - they are working great. Easy to replace, easy to use. They also seem priced fairly too. I will be buying more in the future.

This little thing is great. Note: I'm not using as directed, I actually McGuyvered a water softening bottle out of this, a 32oz Nalgene bottle, and some silicone sealer. My only gripe is the water comes out with an incredibly high TDS level, which makes sense I guess. Specifically, after running 250+ hardness water with about 285 TDS through this, it comes out on the low side between 50 and 120, but with around 325 TDS. I then run it through a Brita pitcher to take it down to 30-50 hardness and about 275 TDS.

I should have searched reviews. Doesn't fit rancilio Silvia which has a larger tube size.

My assessment. This filter is a cheap product that only works on some espresso machines. I feel so strongly about this it should be taken down from this website. Most water softener filters are made of beads, this filter is made of some soft paper or a sand-like material. I bought more than one thinking I must have a defective or something. I only get two weeks from this, then it starts to choke my very expensive (to me) machine of water. I can hear the pump laboring then if I try to go longer than two weeks the pump will turn on (out of nowhere) and try to fill the boiler. the boiler will start making noises I have never heard before and fear it's about to blow.I turn it off because I think the boiler is empty of water and the heating element is exposed.. I turn it off to check the water level, there is plenty of water in its reservoir but the water is not getting to the boiler. Take off this filter and everything is fine. This filter's paper looks swollen and is probably choking the machine of water. So, be happy if you have not had my experience but I believe this filter can be dangerous to you and your machine.Moral of this post for me: don't shop by price especially if I risk something that would be hard to replace. My recommendation is a don't buy

I've been using these for many years. Hard water is one of the great crema killers, and these water softeners are the perfect fix. If you're pulls begin to produce less crema over time, you can usually extend the life of this type of softener by soaking it in a solution of water and table salt.

I installed straight out of the package just as I did the 2 filters supplied with my Expobar. Unlike those, it choked the brand new pump I just installed. So I soaked it in a glass of water like a Brita filter: problem solved! This is why instructions are advisable if the company wants to sell more product. This is an interim review, as this is literally day 1. I have a 2-stage whole house filter, so this filter is just added protection for my boiler.

Fits perfectly for my Quick Mill Anita. I'm not sure how I'd tested its effectiveness but so far so good.
