Lever locks into place at exact angle needed to lift or lower your engine in as little as 1/4" increments, using a 1/2" ratchet or breaker bar. Allows for one-handed adjustment.

Perfect, and oh-so-helpful when installing engine. I use this when installing the engine on 1950's Farmall Cub tractors. Instead of using trial and error to adjust the lengths of the cable ends, I can just hook up casually and use a ratchet to adjust the angle. The product is heavy duty and is easy to adjust. It also has a secure latch to lock the angle to eliminate risk of it spooling out and causing problems.Makes a tedious task far easier. Five stars!

Genius.Many other tools on the market overcomplicate hoisting an engine while keeping it level, with screws and cumbersome designs; Oberg made this simple. The 1/4 insert for adjusting the cables works exactly as it should without binding. My only complaint with this tool is the lack of strength that the locking arm has; a bit more tension added to the arm would keep it from wiggling itself free from the sprocket, which does happen from time to time.If you want a hassle-free, space-saving tool to make your life easier, this is the one.

This tool works great for leveling an engine easily. The only thing i wish it had was the ability to adjust cable length because sometimes it is difficult to raise engine high enough for removal with the cables as long as they are, and this also causes issues with hood clearances sometimes. Have used it multiple times and is a great tool with some refinement could be better.

Compact allowing me to get engines into places that the standard long load levelers can't. Very easy to swivel engine too. The ends are eyelets and are pre bent for you. All around this is a high quality piece. I wish I knew about this years ago honestly. Love this thing

I wish there would exist a companion spreader to permit the cables to ultimately hang vertically above the attach points, to minimize marring of items such as a telescope (not an engine!). Another convenient companion add-on would be a ball bearing swivel. Otherwise, this is much more convenient than a standard load leveler at least for relatively light loads (a few 100 lbs).
