Is moderate skill level, but not to bad to assemble. Take your time and be patient. Put together for a Christmas gift for a family member. Awesome thought behind the design and engineering.

Tacks could be better they keep breaking. I'd suggest either cutting em and welding at the proper angle or use a small propane or map gas torch to heat em before the bend to make em not snap

It's kind of cool once I figured it by visualization, but very frustrating due to the incomplete instructions.

Instructions are not very helpful. Couldn't understand which way to bend the pieces and when I did the tacks broke. Need more steps to help understand the assembly project. I messed with it for 5 hours and then threw it away. before I even turned on the welder.

This is a really good practice kit for a beginner welder. Cool DIY project. Can be used with different types of welds whether you are using mig Tig, Arc, or other types of welders. This makes a really cool eagles head. The finished product is really cool. It is easy to weld. Great for Learners and practicing.

I don't know that I would classify this kit as for beginners, It's more of an intermediate level of skill required. I guess if you had the logic that there were only two levels of welding skills, beginner or professional, then the professionals wouldn't need to practice so this would be intended for beginners to develop some skills.I find that having something like this to practice on is really helpful for learning, it presents many challenges that you just don't encounter welding rectangles to each other, not only with the welds themselves, but fixturing and positioning and even figuring out how you are going to ground it, or how to hold parts together at a funny angle without using magnets, plus there is a goal to achieve as well.I think it's a great kit which will probably help develop my fabrication skills, but unfortunately, I don't think I have enough experience right now to make good welds on this, I need to weld more rectangles first and get better control over the welding process, so I don't just blow holes through all the joints on this... but once I get some practice in and feel comfortable that I can achieve this level of precision, I'm defiantly going to take it on!
