These small straight pins were exactly what I was looking for. They are perfect for slow stitching and appliqué. Since they are so small, they don’t get in your way. They are very sharp. I would highly recommend them for their size and they are very easy to use. I would get them again.

I'd give them a '5,' but I still find the odd one that has a flat point or a bent one every now and then. But that's OK, when you figure how many pins they must put out at a time! I USE A TON OF THESE! I make no-sew quilted Christmas ornaments, and each ornament takes 300-350 pins EACH. I have found that these ¾" ones are NOT my favorite size for this particular project. I have small hands (I wear size 5.5 to 6 rings) but I'm developing a neuropathy that's affecting my hands and the shorter pins are just too short for me to manipulate easily anymore. I personally prefer the 1 1/16" (or sometimes longer) pins. But that's just a preference. And now I'm purchasing in large quantities. But again, I like Dritz quality and I just toss the odd-balls out. That's to be expected. (I'd hate to be a QC person trying to find the occasional 'bad' pin amongst all the good ones!)

I purchased these pins for a craft project using fabric and styrofoam. These pins are more prone to bending and breaking than the less expensive pins I purchased at my local craft store. I expected better quality from the Dritz brand.

I ordered a smaller size but returned them. These are perfect for appliqué quilting !
