I bought this product last December. It came with an extra pitcher which i thought was a great idea for larger families. The product worked at stated and the water was crisp and refreshing. The price, though a little hefty, but was less than other RO systems. The tank used for raw water was a good size. I live alone and have to refill once a day, a 45 second job. For a larger family this would have to be multiple times a day but still no big deal. I liked the display giving lots of info and going dark after a few minutes when not in use. It also has a separate dispenser for individual cups of water and you can select from 8, 12, or 16 oz, or you can just hit the teardrop and dispense any amount you want. I love this and i keep a small glass there so i can just hit the button to get a little water for cooking or a fly by drink. Now I need to say something about the customer service. One day part of the info display disappeared that showed the raw TDS and filter status. I shut the filter off and restarted but still had the same issue. I called customer service (not a long wait for a rep) and explained the issue. He didn't offer any possible fixes but told me to send a picture of the display and shipping info and that Dreo would send a new RO system. I was pleased and went to take a photo of the display I noticed an INFO button which I hit. Well the whole display came back on. Somehow i hit that button by mistake (this is what happens when a person doesn't read the whole manual). Now if I were a dishonest person I would have sent the shipping details and photo, of course I didn't. I did however email Dreo back to tell them what happened and if another customer has this same issue to explain to them how to correct. Dreo has many products and i think that the water filtration system is new to their line up because I didn't see it on their website. I also have a Dreo space heater which I also love. In conclusion I recommend this product.

It worked for a couple of weeks and the water tasted good; however, on he third week the water leakage started. I checked the troubleshooting and I tried to fix it. It worked for 2 days and it started to leak again. The troobleshooting did not work again so I returned it to an amazon location and now I have not received my refund. I checked the status and the message is your item is lost. How can it be?

We've been using this now a couple weeks and I have grown to really like it a lot. We seem to go through a lot of water (coffee machine, water bottles, humidifier) and this machine seems to integrate well with our routines. It comes with one charcoal "taste" filter and two pitchers. That seemed annoying during unpacking but in actual practice I no longer even plan to put one in the other pitcher. We use the filter on the countertop pitcher and keep the filterless pitcher in the refrigerator for cold water. We just fill up and refill the cold pitcher from the filtered-one that lives on the counter, plop the filtered pitcher back on the machine and in a minute it's ready to go again.I initially thought maybe the pitchers were a bit small (especially compared to our PUR pitcher) but as an older person with arthritis I've come to appreciate their size, reasonable capacity for most needs, not too heavy when full, and comfortable to grip. The display is nice to have, if a bit busy-looking and it's cool to see the input and output TDS numbers. After the novelty wore off I set it to display the minimal amount of info just to keep an eye on filter output performance.Even my wife who was skeptical, willing to use a PUR pitcher forever, and who guards countertop space like a hawk has agreed that this machine is easy to use, pleasant to look at, handy to have, and worth the counter space.TLDR — it's a hit and we're glad we got it.

Overall—good enough. The taste is wonderful!I had to have my first one replaced after only two weeks, as it stopped filtering, and my own troubleshooting, and that of Dreo’s, determined it was just a bad unit.I’m now on my second and I use it daily, not only for drinking water, but also in my three humidifiers, and my nugget ice maker.I love that it comes with a second pitcher, which I’m able to keep in the fridge, I just with it also came with a second in-pitcher charcoal filter, so that I could just exchange the pitchers from unit to fridge, rather than emptying on into the other.

This is an outstanding device and I wish I would have bought one sooner. Very simple to set up and use, no special plumbing required. Water quality is outstanding. Has saved me so much time and effort over buying/hauling plastic bottles. Nice to be free of the plastic waste guilt too. Again, very well-designed and thought out device. I noticed that if the pitcher is full of water and you put a cup under the dispenser to fill it up, it will run water through both the desalination system and it will take some from the pitcher so that your cup fills up faster. That's thinking!! Would give 5 stars and a kiss 💋.

This review is for the Dreo Reverse Osmosis System Countertop Water Filter with 7-Layer RO Filtration. This stand alone water filtration system is great for situations that make it cumbersome to implement a hard install on your existing system. It clearly isn't as durable or will have the longevity of a properly installed and plumbed system, but it does over portability, less expense (at $499) and ease of implementation.Although relatively compact for a filtration system, it does take up sine counter space at approximately 14" by 9". It is a modern design and does look good on a counter. The unit also xomes with 2 pitchers so one can be kept cool in the fridge. The multi-stage filtration system filters out just about every contaminant from the water and you can taste the difference. Given this product is currently unavailable (for whatever reason), when it becomes available again, it may be wise to purchase a few extra filters to ensure you have a few years of uninterrupted use.The initial set-up is very easy, and the pitcher is easy to access. All said, this is a great cost effective solution for areas or situations where pure clean water is not readily available. It would have been nice to have a post carbon filter in both pitchers, but not a deal breaker. The modern design, detailed User Interface and ease of use and flexibility make this a great unit, assuming one can get ahead of the availability of filters.

My water has a really strong chlorine taste that I can’t stand hence my need for water filtration. The water is so bad that I almost switched to bottled water like many of my neighbours, even though I hate bottled water. I filter all my water through a jug filter after running the tap a longtime and letting it sit overnight. When I first tried the Dreo Reverse Osmosis System Countertop Water Filter, I was a little hesitant about putting water in it straight from the tap without running it for a while or letting it sit out but I was pleasantly surprised when it got rid of the chlorine taste and smell. While it no longer tasted like chlorine, it just didn’t seem refreshing to me. Perhaps it is because I am not used to it but something was missing. It almost tasted dry if water can be dry, it just didn’t quench my thirst. It was really blah but I guess that is what pure water tastes like. I really like water and drink alot of it each day so this is not the opinion of someone who just tolerates water. It is my primary beverage and I have a glass with me at all times at home. It may be that I just need time to get used to it though I have gone back to my jug filtered water. I prefer the ease of using the Dreo and like that it has a dispenser on the front to fill a cup or I can fill a pitcher and leave it in the refrigerator. The pitcher is slim which is nice to save space. They give you two pitchers but only one post carbon filter that goes in the pitcher. For this price, they should have include one for each pitcher. There are three filters in the system. According to the manual, the Post Carbon filter last approximately 6 months, the PPC Filter lasts 6 - 12 months and the RO filter lasts approximately 24 months. It does take up some precious counter space. I have it on the counter under the cupboards and at first I kept turning it to get the water tank on and off but eventually I figured out how to do it without moving the machine so that it can be stored under the cabinets.I wish there was a better explanation of the waste water. I don’t understand why I have to throw out so much water. Mind you, I wasted much more water with my old pitcher filtration system. I also don’t like how there is one tank separated in two. So when it tells you to refill and dump the waste water, there is still raw water in the other side of the tank that gets poured out. They do tell you that you can use it for things like cleaning and watering plants but then say avoid sensitive plants. I don’t know what sensitive plants are.It seems like a well made system. I just have to get used to the water.

Synopsis: This countertop RO unit offers a clean, modern aesthetic and user-friendly design that integrates well into most kitchens, taking up 14" x 9" of counter space. It’s effective at producing high-quality RO water, with a 7-layer filtration system that removes up to 99.9999% of contaminants, and includes helpful features like a TDS monitor and filter life indicators. A few minor issues, such as slight dripping after each pour and the lack of a second post-carbon filter for the dual pitchers, prevent it from being a flawless setup. Overall, it provides a convenient alternative to slower under-sink systems with reasonable maintenance costs and high output capacity.Design: The unit's design is compact for an RO system and straightforward to set up, requiring only initial rinsing, filling, and plugging in. It includes two pitchers, each with a 50 oz. capacity, which allows for keeping one in the fridge while the other fills on the counter. However, it only comes with one post-carbon filter for taste enhancement, so if both pitchers are used frequently, a second filter would be ideal. The modern, polished look and easy-to-read display add to its appeal in a kitchen setting.Performance: Equipped with a 7-layer filtration system, this RO unit effectively filters out contaminants, including rust, fluoride, and other impurities. The 3:1 pure-to-drain ratio reduces water waste compared to some traditional RO systems. The TDS monitor and filter life indicators are useful for tracking water quality and scheduling replacements, enhancing the unit’s reliability and ease of use.Maintenance and Costs: The system uses three types of filters:- PPC filter (DR-KPA017), which requires replacement after about 2000L or every 6-12 months, priced around $34.99.- RO filter (DR-KPA018), with a 4000L or 24-month lifespan, available for $49.99.- Optional post-carbon filter (DR-KPA016), recommended for replacement every six months. Currently, availability is limited. The unit produces some wastewater, typical for RO systems, stored in part of the rear tank until it can be emptied. This standard process helps maintain the system’s efficiency but requires regular disposal.Ease of Use and Minor Drawbacks: With an auto-fill pitcher and one-touch dispensing, this unit is designed to be user-friendly. The main drawbacks are the pitcher’s tendency to drip slightly after each pour and the rear-positioned water tank, which may be a bit awkward to remove and refill, especially in smaller kitchens or for users with limited mobility. These minor issues don't impact core functionality but could affect convenience.Final Thoughts: The Dreo countertop RO system is a compact, efficient solution for users seeking high-quality water without the slower speeds or bulkiness of under-sink setups. It offers convenient, modern features, a sleek appearance, and reasonable filter replacement costs. Although the dripping pitcher and limited availability of the second post-carbon filter are minor drawbacks, it remains a practical choice for enhanced water quality in a countertop format. Ideal for users with sufficient counter space looking for an attractive and effective water filtration option.

The water from the tap in our home has a very unpleasant metallic taste to it. For years we've been buying those big blue jugs and using a water cooler to dispense the water. This way of getting fresh water is good until you run out and are left with having to run out to the store, lug these massive water bottles, pay for them and repeat this process weekly .There's nothing about this that is convenient so when I found this reversed osmosis countertop filtration system I was very excited to try it.I don't really know much about the osmosis process all I know is that I've heard it is very good and the water dispenser at the grocery store to refill our big blue jugs is a reversed osmosis system, so I figure if I'm paying for it at the store why not be able to use it myself at home.First thing I noticed was the size of the system was big, a little bit concerning at first because I have a very small kitchen with not much counter space already. It took some moving around but I finally found a good spot for it. For size reference the photo above shows a true representation of the size of this filtration system compared to a regular Brita jug.The process of putting it together very simple most of the filters were already in place except for one where you have to put at the bottom of the jug. It should be noted that two jugs are included which is great because you can keep one in the refrigerator keeping your clean water cool. Be sure to remove all the little blue packing tape, including one that is underneath where you place your cup to dispense the water I nearly missed that one.The processis simple you fill the back container to the max line with tap water, place it back onto the machine, it's very easy it but does get heavy. It's also a bit awkward that it's at the back and I have to move the water filtration system every time I need to refill it. I have it set for automatic therefore the osmosis filtration process begins without further intervention, it is very quiet as it runs and fills the water pitcher.Once full simply place your cup under the dispensing area and fill your cup being mindful of the size of your cup versus the options of ounces. You may dispense the water directly from the water pitcher. The dispensed water so pure and absolutely asteless which is exactly what I was aiming for ! Very happy with this water filtration system that will surely save me time and money.I would like to add that the very first time I used the filtration system I ran it through two entire processes before it flushed out the residue and the water became clear in my glass.

I was looking for a water purification system that didn't require an undersink plumbing installation and in my search I discovered the DREO Reverse Osmosis System Countertop Water Filter and decided to order it.PROS:- countertop unit that does not require undersink plumbing installation. Just plug it in and flush twice and you are ready to go.- water pitcher dispensing as well as one touch individual glass dispensing. One touch dispensing of either 8, 12 or 16 ounces.- easy to change filters with a long life span- 3 to 1 pure water to waste water ratio which means much more pure water and less waste water than a typical undersink system- 2 x 50oz pitchers included- PCF (post carbon filter) for use in the pitcher- fairly low noise level when operating- large capacity (170 oz) water tank- real time TDS (total dissolved solids) display that shows you the measurements for the raw water and pure waterCONS:- while not an overly large unit it does require some space and if you have limited counter space its size might be an issue- only one PCF (post carbon filter) included but there are two jugs- unit does produce some waste water but much less than an undersink RO system- limited availability of replacement filters at this time but apparently they should be available for order soonOverall, this no installation RO system is a real winner. It is easy to operate and produces water that is incredibly pure (and who doesn't want pure drinking water). The availability of both a pitcher and one touch dispensing is a great and useful feature. No installation required means that you can use this product in your home, office, RV or anywhere you want pure water and have access to a plug. If you are in the market for a RO system then this product is definitely worthy of your consideration. Based on my experiences using this product I highly recommend it.RATING 4.5/5.0Priced at $499.99 at the time of this review.
