There are two valves on my 2013 Sonata 2.4L GDi engine. This is a replacement for the FRONT valve - under the hood. and it fits perfectly. Now I just changed it, and after 75 miles later the check engine light is still out. But longevity is not certain. But it **fits** just fine. There is second, more expensive valve under the rear of the car next to the fuel tank. I'm hoping that is NOT the problem. My car shows an error for "slow leak in evap system" and a check-engine light. Recommended approach is to remove and re-install the gas cap first (convenient). If still broke, replace gas cap (cheap). Neither of these actually fixed my problem. The next cheapest task is to replace this purge valve (which I just did and I replaced the short hoses leading to and from it as well).A bit of a pain to reach, have to remove the entire air cleaner housing (both upper and lower halves) and some other bit and bobs, but I DO NOTt recommend trying to do it with everything else left in the way. The extra time to remove or at least loosen the interfering parts is time well spent to prevent breaking other things or dropping needed screws and nuts.If replacing this valve does not fix it for my car, I'll have to replace the rear purge valve. If it still is malfunctioning, it might be a cracked line somewhere, which is likely to be hard to find. Hoping this one fixes it.

My 2012 kia optima Sx was giving a check engine light code for Evaporative emission control system leak detected (very small leak).I replaced the gas cap but the code came back. I order this part from Amazon and the code is gone. Great price compared to local stores and dealership. Not too difficult to replace.

Pretty much the title. Part is described as fitting a 2014 Sonata. Spent about 45 minutes pulling hoses and tracing evap lines only to realize it's the wrong part.
