I really like this nail gun. Well built, powerful, and easy to use.

I have a cheap 16 gauge finish nailer that came with my air compressor so when I got this finish nailer I wa hoping it was a step up. This Carpenter 15 gauge finish nailer will, obviously, hold a larger finishing nail. It has great build quality. Once concern I had right away is that the slide holding the nails in is primarily plastic which gives me concern for breakage. Even my cheap nail gun has an all metal slide. I do like that the air connection on the Carpenter swivels giving me more flexibility when working. It has an adjustable exhaust port, which even my cheap on has. I like the tool free adjustment for driving nails to their proper depth. My 16 gauge has a manual adjuster and I never know if I am adjusting it properly.I was expanding a door frame this past weekend so I could add a screen door for a family member. I then needed to add a bunch of trim. I loaded this nail gun up with 2” nails and went to work. It worked flawlessly. I had no problems using it, experienced no jams, and was able to drive nails quickly. This nail gun handled very well. I had the psi set to 100 and it drove all my nails to just below the surface of my boards.Overall, I am very impressed with Carpenter’s finish nail gun. I liked the build quality and usage enough that I’m looking at getting their 23 gauge pin nailer. I think the price this nail gun is competitive and a good buy.
This is not what they say it is

This is a nice nailer. I have used it on some base boards and to repair some shiplap on a wall. As nailers go, this one is comfortable and easy to use. I have also used it in building a couple of workbenches, to hold the initial frame together.I am not an expert in quality versus other brands, but I do have a Dewalt Framing nailer, and while this is a different type of nailer, I can say it has never given me any issues (similar to my Dewalt).

This 15 gauge finish nailer is a well designed and built tool with a quality finish. The attention to detail is obvious resulting in a tool that is well balanced, feels good in the hand, the single shot/bump shot switch placed near the trigger, a redirectable exhaust port and an air connection that is mounted on a pivot ball. I tested this nailer on soft and hardwood using several length brads over 100 total. The nail set function works well. I did experience one jammed brad while doing very rapid bump shots, which was cleared in just seconds by using the jam release. This was probably my fault while shooting too fast. The only potential weak point I can see is the brad loading rail that directs the brads to the head, it's made of a sturdy plastic. I would like to have seen metal used there. The nailer has a 7 year material and workmanships warranty. Over I feel this is a quality nail gun... It's a keeper!

I had a smaller brad nailer that came with my portable compressor, so I was looking for something a bit heavier duty and decided to try this out. I was not disappointed. It has a really solid feel—as nice as much higher-end brands—and performs well in the few situations I've tested it. It did not jam and fully embedded the nails. I would highly recommend this!

Jams alot more than any other nailer I own, might be ok for occasional homeowner use but not much more than that.
