Somewhere along the line the plug fell out on my bottle. Jack and I lost oil in the bed of my truck and it was a total mess. I thought I was going to have to throw the jack away. I went to several hardware stores nobody had the plugs we tried to come up with other solutions and improvise a plug and even doing that they leaked.Just for the heck of it, I got on Amazon to see if there was even replacement plugs for hydraulic jacks and there were tons of options. I went with this one and it was a perfect fit and I have no leaks plus now I have some extras in case I run into this problem later on down the line. I probably have at least 10 bottle jacks so I can always keep these as spares.

Easy install. Nice tight fit in about 1/4" fill hole. Only time will tell if the plug holds up to hydraulic fluid. But I got 12pieces for the price of 6, so I have extras.I'd buy local if I could. I wish auto parts stores would sell these by the single for maybe a buck or 2.

This worked on my Big Red 3 ton jack, was able to immediately lift my 2.5 ton truck off two wheels at the same time (just to test the plug).

These plugs fit nice and tight and don't leak. It was a little hard to get in but with the help of a small screw driver it went in. I just wish that I didn't have to buy so many. I only needed ONE and maybe one more as a spare. Anyway, my son has 2, by brother has 2 and my buddy next door has one. AND IT DIDN'T COST THEM A CENT.
