I use this under raised garden beds because of rodents eating the roots of my plants. I found that getting the black hardware cloth made a huge difference in the health of my plants. The hardware cloth must be vinyl coated when used under plants. If it is not coated, the plants don’t make it after a few months because the rust gets to be to much for them. This wire is strong, smooth, and I like the gloves that are included for protecting hands.

This looks fantastic. The chicken wire itself is great, sturdy and nice to work with. Gloves were included in the box, they were just too big for me, I used my fabric and leather garden gloves and did fine. The black coating on this is so sleek and nice. I used this to make a cover for the garden. The black looks so nice from a distance, it didn't get nearly as hot to touch as the normal silver chicken wire did while assembling this thing.I'm bad at measuring and using all black would have shorted me about 6 inches of coverage for the tunnel so (mostly to save myself the task of making a lot of small bits to cover the gap) I used a wider sheet of silver in the middle, It looks silly but for the time being it will be fine. It's also a great side by side of how the black looks so much better. From a distance it's almost not noticeable as an actual covering.
