I used this on my 88 Firebird 305 motor pulling from side of the car. I will tell you it would have not been so easy as it was without this engine leveler. It was easy to work with and I know some say the handle is small, but I had no problems turning it with ease. It was very well built and for the price you can’t beat that at all. I’m so glad I purchase this because it made the job go very Smooth and fast. It will also be a Blessing when I put the motor back in. Would I recommend this (“ yes” ) I would. Just A reminder, I pulled a V8 305 engine from the side of my 88 Firebird with this Engine leveler with ease. The Transmission was not attached to motor, but I know this little charm would Handle it with ease.

If you are lifting an engine/ transmission assembly out of a car, this is useful. If you are putting the assembly back in, it is nearly an absolute necessity. This will make the job much easier.Other uses:-Lowering that roast pig into the pit evenly.-Lifting that record size brisket from the smoker.-Displaying your prized swordfish mount at just the right angle.-Creating a swinging baby crib.-Leveling out that porch swing, unless aunt Barta sits on it. Nothing could overcome that.-Hanging an elk carcass for dressing.-Changing the angle of the swordfish because it's 'just not right'.

Overall, this tilt fixture or engine leveler is very handy when pulling an engine and especially if you're pulling the engine and transmission at the same time. The ability to lift the payload is great and helps clear obstacles.Pictures are of the automatic transmission from a 2008 BMW E60 528i, where the tilt fixture help me get the transmission off the jack and up onto my workbench. I also used it to position the transmission for various repair operations.Chain and figure are very high quality, but the turning handle tends to hit into the chain, even at moderate angles. The opposite end from the rotation handle has three locations for where you want to attach your chain shackle. The addition of similar holes on the opposite end, where the handle is turned, would be helpful since you could attach the shackle inboard 1-2 holes to miss fouling the lift chain. One other pesky issue is that you need to remove the handle to fit the fixture and chain back into the box for storage, since this is not a frequently used item.Overall functional and high quality.

Used this to pull a Big Block Ford 460 attached to a C6 transmission from our car. It handled the 900lb no problem. Highly recommend greasing the threads of the adjuster, as turning the handle to help it rebalance is difficult with the small knob and handle. Still a good buy though.
